Service was slow and quality of food was not good. I had chicken covered (too much) in sauce. I like the design but sat upstairs and was too dark and air con was too cold. We asked several times as we were only group in that area but nothing happened. Was an expensive meal for what it was.. I can... More

Have been to Ralph's a couple of times & really looked forward to this visit. Overall, it was disappointing. The food wasn't as good as I remembered it. My veal came cold & by the time the pasta side was brought, I had finished the entrée. Other pasta sides were brought late as well. I ordered a dish with mushrooms... More

Went with a family of 7. The food was very good. Everyone left pleased with thier meal. I would recommend the Chianti as well as the chicken parmesan.

Had a wonderful experience at Ralph's...despite me making our reservation for the wrong night...luckily we were able to get a seat, even though it was packed. The entire restaurant from the service, the host, the neighborhood, the decor screamed "traditional Italian." We sat right inside the front door, and it is very cramped in this restaurant, I even made small... More

We walked about 12 blocks to meet our kids here as Philly is a walking city. We arrived and they had made reservations. They took us upstairs and that was an experience. Very narrow staircase with high steps covered in wood. I was wearing flat but if I had heels on, I would have removed them going up and down.... More

We were looking for Old Skool Italian while in Philly. Was suggested to go to The Saloon but b/c it was Sunday, they were closed, so based on other Tripadvisor reviews we selected Ralph's. Someone said it was the best veal anywhere. The homemade pastas sounded perfect. It took a long time for a waiter to come to our table.... More

Everything we have eaten here has been delicious......we have celebrated birthdays and we actually got engaged here. We come back again and again. Last few times, we sat upstairs and I wasn't as crazy about the atmosphere as the bustling front room but food just as good.

My wife and I ate there with some friends while we were visiting Philly. It is a neat restaurant with an historic marker outside stating it's the oldest Italian restaurant in America.. It has an old-time, godfather-like feel to it. You'd think you were eating in the restaurant where Michael Corleone shot the cop. My wife and I just got... More

Quaint place in the Italian section of Philadelphia. Not much on the outside or the inside from a visual standpoint. But WOW,,,,the menu is fantatic, the service top-notch and ohhhhh the food! Started with bruschetta, very fresh, full of ripe tomatoes and the toasts drizzled with balsamic were wonderful. I had the bowties in vodka sauce with chicken and it... More
