Though the food I had was great, I only enjoyed 2 courses. During the second, I was given almond milk, despite repeatedly discussing my nut allergy with the staff. I have a very serious allergy and have to take epipens, go to the hospital, etc... really unpleasant. They even confirmed my allergy prior to the meal and assured me the... More

We love Marigold's Kitchen and are deeply upset about the news of them closing. We are so happy for the chef and his fiance and wish them the best in California. There will be some happy folks out there when chef Robert Halpern decides to do his thing and open up something there. Love his dedication to each and every... More

Had a reservation for Mother's Day for seven. We were treated like royalty in our own little private room. The service was phenomenal. The food was superb. Ambiance was very nice. Love BYOBs. We brought champagne and the orange was perfect for our mimosas. Salute.

Our party of four ate here yesterday and had a very nice meal. However, the tasting menu is long--we were seated at 6 PM and did not leave until 8:45-9 PM. The food is excellent, but at times felt over-complicated. Each dish had at least 5 different things going on at once. Overall the meal was very interesting, but it... More

Little corner home in healthy West Philadelphia neighborhood transformed to a two story restaurant. Once inside, attention to detail is made. That includes the food, the service and the ambience. The fixed prixe menu is a 14 plus small plate tasting which will have you begging for more! Your hostess and wait staff are pricelessly professional, informed and friendly. Ask... More

This is a special treat...unique dinner. If you want something different and amazingly delicious, come here. About 15 different taste bites and entree(which is the only thing you choose). Taste bites include lobster bisque with thyme bubbles, faux grou (spelling?) in a crusted salt/sugar square, nitrogen burned popcorn, and many others. Haven't finished dinner yet but had to share this... More

Wow! More expensive than the excellent ethnic restaurants we enjoy on Philadelphia visits, but worth every penny. It’s a place that takes the food, but not itself, seriously. The staff made the experience as fun and enjoyable as the food, which was amazing. It is a small operation so they ask you to commit with a credit card deposit and... More

In town for a birthday dinner and had a fantastic time with three other couples in a private room on the 2nd floow. Waitstaff was attentive and had encyclopedic knowledge of the tasting menu being put in front of us. I think they kept the place open longer than usual in order for us to finish our meal. We never... We went to Marigold's Kitchen to celebrate my daughter's 21st birthday. All agreed - the experience was spectacular. The menu was set except for choice of entree, but this was not a problem; every single one of the 15 courses (most of which were small amuse bouches) was flavorful, fascinating, and through carefully considered contrasts of flavor, texture, and temperature,...
