Good floats

Took the family out for a nice day on South Street and came here for floats and fries. The waiter was great. He kept checking on us making sure everything was good. I will be coming back soon.

The staff gives the outward appearance of caring, interested and happy but the truth is, more people asked if I was being helped than were actually helping. It shouldn't take 25 minutes to serve a hamburger unless you are grinding the meat fresh. That aside, one would hope that the burgers and bacon would come out perfectly awesome. Not the... More

Not only is everything here - except iced tea - in excess of 500 calories - some up to 1500 for milkshakes but it's pricey. A plan single burger and cup of coffee came to about $9.00 before tip. The menu is required to have calorie content and when that went into place business dropped. And how can yiu only... More

My friend and I went to Johnny Rocket's on South Street. If you aren't familiar with the franchise it is a 50s-style diner that serves some really great burgers, specialty shakes, and some of the best onion rings I have ever eaten. They had just the right amount of batter and were fried to perfection and not the least bit... More

Traveling on business in Philly and saw a sign the night before that Johnny Rockets served breakfast. Next morning I went in and was received a friendly greeting. I sat at the counter and ordered the eggs my way. Comes with Sausage, eggs, potatoes and a bagel for $7. It was actually really good. I was kind of surprised because... More

Ok, so I was a cook here for about 3 months and quit. This has to be the most foul place to eat on south st! They have roaches, nats, rats, termites, and water bags. The food is not kept at the required temperature because all the fridges are broken upstairs. One morning I opened and there was a roach in the... More

Me and friend ate here for lunch on a saturday afternoon. We were seated right away. Waitress took our orders and we had our food in ten minutes. The burgers and the milk shakes were delicious. The place was clean and the prices were reasonable I would eat here again.

Although filled w/ young patrons, baby boomers especially will feel right at home at Johnny Rockets in South Philly, where lots of red vinyl, old Life Magazine covers & juke boxes - yes, juke boxes - for a nickel (supplied by the house) play favorites from the '50s (Remember the Everly Brothers?); so Boomers will know all the lyrics &...
