I love this place

You can't get a bad meal here! They have the best gravy and meatballs. Sometimes I buy meatballs and gravy and serve for dinner at home with pasta. They have the old Milan salad with Russian dressing, shrimp, egg its so good. Love the rigatoni and asparagus, Veal Parm. Meatballs, Gnocchi's and so... read more

I went here with my hubby and mother-in-law on a busy Saturday after Christmas. If you want real Italian home cookin' this is the place! I came here a long while ago and it seemed more like a diner. They changed the lighting and use white tablecloths and now the place has more ambiance. It is spotless I might add,... More

They seem to use only half of the available seating so the room, which seats approximately 60 diners, is very crowded and a bit on the loud side; however, that does not create a negative atmosphere but a positive one in that it brings a certain level of activity that is quite enjoyable. The service, both at the bar and... More

Villa di Roma is a classic red sauce Italian restaurant in Little Italy that serves up some really great food. I haven't been to a place like this in years - it's beautifully "aged" inside. The meatballs are amazing...honestly some of the best I've ever had with delicious tomato sauce. The breaded asparagus were also amazing.

My husband & I absolutely love this place. From the location, to the food, to the servers & bartenders. No matter what we order it's fabulous. We always start with the Villa salad & clams in red sauce. I could just have the clams with bread and be happy. They need to jar that sauce!!!

Great traditional family style restaurant in South Philly. Same fabulous service and food as 20 years ago. Ziti Francis is one of my favorite dishes anywhere! Still run by the Deluca family.

This was a great accidental find! We were trying to find our way through the extremely crowded narrow streets of Little Italy in Philadelphia, when miracle of miracles, a spot opened up for parking right at their front door! Long story shortened, it was a great family Italian place with lots of locals. Pasta done perfectly, shrimp fresh, meatballs awesome!... More

You know the type, meatballs in gravy, lasagna covered in gravy, mussels (large) in gravy. The gravy just isn't that good. It's a little too sweet. I left a lot of mine over. Sorry, I went in to really like it. The service didn't help. Who needs a waitress with attitude?
