We went to Villa Di Roma to eat on Saturday night and brought our nephew before going to a Phillies game. Our waitress named Jean I feel like I knew her for years, she was a true love! I could not decide what I wanted to eat and she even sat down next to me to help look at the... More

The food was not descriptive enough to understand the dishes and menu. Typical dishes were cooked their way. Since one dish was not as described, we sent it back and ordered something else. Both dishes were charged to us. I just wish they would have been clear about the charges before the bill. I would not have ordered something else... More

Located in the Italian Market district, this place is known for their meatballs. Smaller than a baseball, but not by much , these are made with a combination of meat and come with a tangy red sauce. They are packaged to take home if you can wait that long. They have a traditional menu we'd try on our next visit... More

Down to earth Italian with no frills but all the flavor. This is the place we take friends from out of town for a simple, delicious traditional meal. The location is perfect: smack dab in the middle of the Italian Market area, surrounded by produce, meat and cheese vendors which adds to the atmosphere. Put it on your list...

We were in the Italian Market and stopped in for lunch. We were the only people in the restaurant and from the moment we walked in we were made to feel like family. Dominick was our waiter and he explained he grew up at the restaurant, and has been working there for 33 years. He told us stories of the... More

Went last night i had not been to this great restaurant in quite a while. We went without a reservation at Dinner Time, only really had a 10 min wait though the room was quite full. Nice bar area and separate dining area nothing fancy but an old fashioned red and white tablecloth covered tables. Had the appetizer of fried... More

Friendly owners, neighborhood service. We felt like we were disturbing our waitress, who couldn't even explain the menu. The menu has entrée names but no descriptions. For instance....What is "Veal Dominick"? What is "Chicken Sicily"? Well, two other waitresses, answered our questions, got us extra water, more glasses of wine, served extra bread and even refused separate tips. Noble and... More

This place is great. Always a line to get a table. So cozy up to the bar, have a whiskey sour and take it all in. Authentic Italian American restaurant. The fried asparagus is off the hook tasty! I have been here twice. A must stop in Philadelphia.

Don't expect "fine dining" with white table clothes and linen napkins. What you get here is great Italian food with the menu printed on a small piece of paper as well as posted on a blackboard. There's not much in the way of a wine selection but what they offer is good and very reasonably priced. The best thing on... More

If you want delicious authentic Italian food this is the restaurant for you. The chicken bella bucca is a dish you won't find anywhere else. It is chicken breast with provolone cheese and ham in the middle topped by a butter sauce. DELICIOUS! The portions are huge so we usually end up taking food home. The Villa salad has a... More
