We decided to visit Bistro again this spring after our excellent meal we had last year. The restaurant is still an outstanding experience. Everything was perfect for our celebration. We ordered the caesar salad, since we had remembered it as being the best ever, and we were reminded what a sensational experience that Nolan our server prepared it right at... More

We found this restaurant on trip advisor with pretty high rating and a certificate of excellence. However, it didn't even come close to average! The food was cold, not well prepared and as we asked for more bread we got a saggy portion. The service wasn't the best and the waiter didn't even know what was on the menu or... More

A friend suggested the restaurant to me, knowing I was looking for authentic good homemade Italian food..perfectly correct, she was!! The restaurant is located right off South st. In a quaint historic building.. I wanted somewhere quiet and romantic and THIS was! Everyone was nice and went out of their way to help.. We were seated in the cellar area..perfect!... More

Don't be lured to Bistro Romano by the photos of warm brick and quiet wine cellar dining; this place is loud, cramped and the food is uninspiring. A sub par veal saltimbocca was served with a watery sauce; it was a great disappointment and the other entrees were no better. There are far better places to spend your money in... More

Fantastic meal, we were placed downstairs in lovely setting. Ordered house speciality to start, cesar salad and was wonderful enjoyed the presentation of how salad made. Pasta dishes for main plentiful. Staff excellent, highly recommend.

Had dinner with a business associate. Nice setting for that purpose; quiet, cozy, can hear each other talk. Food was good; menu is basic, traditional northern Italian with a few rotating entrees. Great wine list but a little on the spendy side.

I will give this restaurant an excellent rating because of their delicious food and ambiance. I booked the Wine Cellar for a romantic Valentine dinner for two for me and my wife, when we showed up they informed us that there was an error and they did not have our reservation. Needless to say we were not happy and were... More

We were so surprised to enter this quaint little bistro and find an ambiance that was romantic, quiet, and oh so different! They have a table for 2 in the wine cellar! The service was excellent, the staff gracious, and the prices were reasonable. Highly recommend this!

This is our 4th visit, and we will keep coming back. This historic building is a beautiful place to eat (exposed brick and beams), and we have been overjoyed by the quality and taste of the food every time. The staff are usually very attentive. We have chosen multiple items on the menu and from the daily specials, and have... More

This was our 4th visit to Bistro Romano, and it did not disappoint. The atmosphere is just as nice as it was previously, and the food was excellent. Even though it was Saturday night and virtually every table was taken, the service was also excellent. Still highly recommended!
