My boyfriend and I, try different restaurants in philly every time we come. This restaurant is by far the most romantic setting i have seen thus far. The table was kind of small but not bad. The waitstaff, bartenders and hostess were all pleasant and well mannered. The food was fantastic. We are vegetarians and our choices are limited but... More

Delicious food, romantic atmosphere, attentive service describe Bistro Romano in the Society Hill section. Recommended entrees include the Bistro Duck, Chicken Ripieno, and Lobster Ravioli all priced in the low to mid 20's. The famous Caesar Salad was great too and service for two was ample for four of us. It was a great evening. One caution: they "validate" parking... More

Had an amazing night here on Saturday! The ambiance is incredible and fits in perfectly with the historic area it is in. The building and the bar itself have so much history behind them that even if you are not hungry, do yourself a favor and at least stop in for a drink. If you do decide to stay for... More

This place is horrible. My boyfriend and I went to Bistro Romano for a romantic night out and it turned out to be a very frustrating evening. We arrived with a reservation, the restaurant was pretty empty but we were still seated at a booth downstairs right next to the kitchen. Because we were directly next to the kitchen we... More

My husband had been to this restaurant earlier this year for a work related dinner and told me this is the type of restaurant I would enjoy. He was right, I did enjoy it for my first time visit. We had an early reservation (Groupon stipulates must be seated prior to 5PM on a Saturday) so we did not endure... More

Ambience and service were just as good as initial visit in 12/14. The food however had mixed results!!! The Caesar fixed tableside was expertly prepared and wasfresh, tasty and presented professionally. The calimare was terrible---Chewy and rubbery indicating it was not fresh!!Sent it back and waitress removed it from bill. Mains were also mixed results---lobster ravioli was delicious as was... My husband and I ate dinner here on Saturday, 7/25/15, after reading other Trip Advisor reviews. We decided that we wanted to have a nice diner where we could actually talk to each other, and not scream above the din. Well, if you're looking for this type of meal, then this is the place! The food was good, and the... More

This was a very quaint restaurant in an area you might not expect. Staff was very friendly, food offerings were wonderful and they had a nice wine flight that complemented a very nice meal.

I recently went here for my daughters birthday and I was very disappointed. First we had to wait for our table even though it was a Thursday night and there were a bunch of tables open. They came the appetizers. My daughter ordered the flat bread with prosciutto. There was nothing but bread and Arugula no prosciutto nor any ricotta.... More

The last thing we want to read from our guests is that they had a terrible experience at Bistro Romano. I apologize that your daughter’s Birthday celebration was disappointing. We did contact your husband and left a message on his cell apologizing and asking him to touch base with us at his convenience. That is the only contact information we... More
