The food was delicious and well presented. Service was excellent and fast. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meal when touring Philly. Prices are reasonable.

I took 11 people from out of town to E.P. and then across the street to Jack's. i wish i had taken them to the London Grill! Two ordered simple roasted chicken dinners. the one lonely chicken breast on each dish was not only well done, but actually was burnt and tasted it; both platters. Another ordered a hamburger, but... We ate at Jack's Firehouse after we visited the penitentiary exhibit. The food was really good and the owner was very friendly. IT was an old firehouse and was a very cool place to eat. The only thing I didn't like about it was the sparrows kept flying in and trying to steal food.

We went to the Eastern Penitentiary tour and were hungry for an early dinner. Found this place right across the street. Has a nice ambiance inside and the waitstaff was attentive. Food was good but a bit pricey. Overall had a good time and would visit again if in the area.

The ribs were amazing, you could taste that they were smoked and not just cooked. Bread was a little dry though but other than that I have no complaints. Salad was delicious as well.

We had lunch here on the recommendation of a friend, as I was so excited to visit Eastern State state Penitentiary. Jack's Firehouse is right across the street, with excellent views of the prison walls and towers. The food was so so. I had the Philly cheesesteak omelet and had high hopes. This is, after all, the home of philly... More

Liked the selection of local beer on tap and atmosphere. Sitting there with the big firehouse doors opened while relaxing and having an appetizer...just escaped the "Pen", Eastern State Penitentiary across the street. Would recommend a pit stop.

Oh my! This is a must visit while in town or strolling around. The food is simply delicious and nicely priced and the ambience is wonderful! You can eat inside or out on the sidewalk in comfy chairs of in the garden area along the side of the restaurant and out of the sidewalk's view but anyplace you sit to... More
