Not what it used to be

We have been at this restaurant over 20 years ago and we never remembered it to be so expensive. If you wish to eat crabs, it is about 9.95USD per piece for a regular and 10.95USD for a large, We ordered large crabs, but were completely disappointed by the size. There is no transparency on how... read more

Went for a valentines dinner and not impressed at all. Very old, lights flickering. Not really the cleanest place. Food was not that good. Crab cake was full of filler for a "crab house ". The people next to us were talking about the difference between a dime bag and a Nickel bag. They were very loud. Would not recommend.... More

I ordered the Restaurant Week "deal" for $35. I got 3 pieces of coconut shrimp, two pieces of salmon each about the size of my husband's thumb with a dollop of crab between them--that was supposed to be crab stuffed salmon- with a baked potato, bread and green beans I could hardly cut. The dessert was a wet chocolate cake!... More

It's a hole in the wall that puts a hole in your pocket. The service reflected the food served ...mediocre. The vegetables were from a can . "At these prices" AND WHEN two people place an order can we get four pieces of bread instead of three? Try not to serve more plate than food.

I'm from the east coast and I most certainly know the difference between fresh and frozen. It tasted as if my entire platter came straight from the Schwann's truck. So disappointed.

Dear Eva, The price of blue claw crabs and fresh seafood has certainly sky rocketed in the last 20 years, We post daily crab prices in the front of the restaurant and recite them and the weight associated with each crab size upon request. I apologize if you felt we were not forthcoming about the prices or crab size in... More

I'd not eaten here before and the bellhop at Hotel Monaco recommended it and told us it was a short walk from the hotel. We didn't have reservations but they accommodated us and put us near the bar. The waitress was extremely friendly and gave us her suggestions as to what to order. We had a delicious raw appetizer. Then,... More

Thank you very much for sharing your experience with us. We're glad you enjoyed yourself so much and appreciate your taking the time to let us know. Feeling nostalgic on a recent return visit to Philadelphia, my wife and I dined at DiNardo's and found the memory to be better than the reality. Service was friendly, but lackluster. The food was expensive for what it is and the choice was limited with the food merely ok. The decor looked as if it hasn't been touched in 20... More

This is the first time at this restaurant. Service was slow. The food was okay but pricey. The $30 appetizer was probably enough for one or two people, it consisted of three oysters a handful of crabmeat half a dozen clams and maybe three shrimp for 30 or $40. I'm sure it wouldn't be difficult to find a better place... More

We went for dinner for our anniversary. My husband and I went to DiNardo's to have some of their famous snapper soup, it was very good.
