Disappointing

Ok. I lived in philly all my life and this place is suppose to be an institution. All I can say is it's overpriced and overrated, outdated decor. Service u have to ask for. The meal wasn't great at all for $176 for 2 including tip and this was not lobster. Would have been better off going to a... read more

Dear Sophia Lauren, I'm sorry to hear you did not enjoy your experience at DiNardo's. We strive, as a family business to serve only the most fresh and quality seafood and make every customer feel very welcome. The price of quality seafood is at an all-time high and some of the market priced items such as King, Snow and Dungeness... More

I was very surprised by the restaurant. This was my first time dining here and I chose this for restaurant week. The food was eh. It was way overpriced for the quality. In addition to that it was extremely loud! It was groups of people yelling. The waitress and hostess were really nice. Overall I was it was not a... More

We went here with a party of four to enjoy some delicious crabs, and that they were! The crabs we had were seasoned and delicious. They were served in a timely manner by our helpful and cheerful waitress. The service was excellent and the prices are reasonable. If you like crabs go here, there isn't much more to say!

My best friend and decided at thelast minute to eat out. Being the frugal people we are we found a groupon or living social deal. When we alked in we were greated with "do you have a reservation?" No hello welcome to Dinardos. The food was overpriced and overcooked. The drinks were a bit expensive but tasted GREAT! Service was a... More

Here we are, as we usually might be on a weekend at.DiNardos.. My husband has to have his weekly crab fix or the week is not complete! Aside from the great food, the service is excellent. You are treated like FAMILY. Everyone is so friendly right from the start...the hostess, the bartender (who will keep you entertained ) to the... More

The sautéed Galic Blue crabs were awesome... This is not a sprint of a lunch but Debbie guided us through the tricks to eating and enjoying one of the best marathon seafood lunches ever! Also must try the Baltimore style crab soup.... Really tasty! Thanks DiNardo's for the hospitality .....

A wonderful find for fresh seafood in the old city. Service from Debbie, a local, was great. Can't beat the garlic crabs. Messy but worth the trouble.

I've been going to DiNardo's for decades. Over the years I've seen it move through ups and downs. Of late many people seem to have created some pretty unrealistic expectations for this venerable Philadelphia staple. The decor is simple in nature but perfectly suited for a crab house where people dig into messy crabs and spend an hour or two... More

We did not have crabs, but a seafood salad and flounder stuffed with crab meat. Best I can say - mediocre food, prices very high! Service was friendly, and efficient. Two women in the booth behind us - one of them clearly high on something, so she was entertaining/distracting - loud, cursing, then slumped over as if sleeping, then a... More

This was our first time at DiNardo's and unfortunately, I have to agree with many of the other reviewers that the dining experience was underwhelming. My husband and I shared a bowl of NE clam chowder (slightly underseasoned, but easily remedied with some salt & pepper), fried calamari (huge platter, crispy, and well cooked with two great dipping sauces), and...
