We did not have crabs, but a seafood salad and flounder stuffed with crab meat. Best I can say - mediocre food, prices very high! Service was friendly, and efficient. Two women in the booth behind us - one of them clearly high on something, so she was entertaining/distracting - loud, cursing, then slumped over as if sleeping, then a... More

This was our first time at DiNardo's and unfortunately, I have to agree with many of the other reviewers that the dining experience was underwhelming. My husband and I shared a bowl of NE clam chowder (slightly underseasoned, but easily remedied with some salt & pepper), fried calamari (huge platter, crispy, and well cooked with two great dipping sauces), and... This place is terrible! Overpriced and crappy food. Service was good but the food stinks! Place is old and dated which would be fine if the food didn't stink. Went for a birthday and will never return.

I have been going to DiNardos for 30 years. I was disappointed by the high prices. You used to get a big portion, but not anymore. Also, food not as good.

This is apparently one of the "best" seafood places in Philly, so I went with some colleagues one night, while in town for a conference. I was really disappointed. When I walked in, I thought I went into a time warp. The decor was very old and run down. It reminded me of a 1960's diner - that hasn't been... More

My hotel magazine and the person at the front desk recommended this place, called it the best seafood in town. Well, all I can say is, if this is the best the others have to be down right disgusting. I order the garlic crab, OMG the crab was old and had no flavor what so ever. The owner tried to... More

I was so excited to have dinner at Dinardos. I love seafood and had heard that this was a city institution. We went on a Tuesday night, and ended up sitting at the bar as the resturant looked almost empty. The decor was old style, and we were expecting the kind of comfort food you usually find in a place... More

Dear Derby, I apologize to you for missing the mark on your visit. I want to assure you that all the seafood we serve is fresh and the crabs particularly are flown in daily from the Gulf Coast. Although the menu states that the crabs do not have side dish choices as the platters do, we are always happy to... More

Agree with others. Our party of four had hits and misses. Way too salty fries, salad request forgotten, had all 4 people with empty drink glasses twice in the evening. Waitress helpful but distracted. Seemed understaffed on a Tuesday night. But the meals were delicious and the Dark Side of the Moon dessert: outstanding. Walked over easily from the 5th... More

I know this place has been there for decades and it is a bit tired-looking, but the crab cakes are very good. I consider myself a broiled crab cake expert, and these would rank among the best. My friend is also very picky and did agree with the assessment for her fried crab cake. The service was not great, and... More

This restaurant was recommended by the visitors center. Unfortunately, everything was extremely salty. We should have known when our first dish the crab soup had very little crab and was extremely salty. Their popular fries were overly salted to the point of not being able to eat. The fried fish platter was greasy and salty. When asked about our meal... More

We're very sorry you didn't enjoy your experience at DiNardo's. The crab soup is made with a special blend of crab seasoning and the fries are seasoned fries, but we will happily cook them without for our customers sensitive to salt. We strive for excellence in all areas and appreciate your feedback. We are known for great service and will... More
