We Liked the Sandwich, but...

After eating at Sonny's and being disappointed the night before, we tried this place for lunch the next day. We enjoyed the Philly cheese steak sandwiches very much. When in Philly you simply must have a Campo's cheesesteak sandwich, they are yummy! Staff was awesome, they had cleaned up and were closing when we walked in but they accommodated our requests with a smile on their face! Thank you!

Large portions and a good variety, this isn't a tourist trap. Their steak & cheese whiz was amazing- as well as the Capone (white cheese). Kids meal cheeseburger was HUGE! Great deal- would go back!

There were 6 of us and not everyone wanted a cheese steak. This place had a good selection of subs. Food was good, you have to wait in line to place your order. The cheese steak was as good as other places we visited, but liked the larger selection of subs. The reuben was messy and good. The Italian was... More

The Philly Cheese steak at this restaurant was the best. Lots of meat. Lots of flavor. They were very busy, but orders were done quickly and the food was worth the wait.

We stopped here for lunch and had the cheesesteak sandwich. After eating a cheesteak at Jim's on South Street the night before Campo's was not as good. The sandwich was ok but the meat was tough and it and dripped alot. We also had the soft pretzel which was not good at all. It was tough and cold and the... More

Our cheesesteak was fine, but disappointing. We expected more from the 'famous' Philly area. We can get the same or better quality back home in cleveland. Fast and quasi-friendly service. Not cheap.

An episode of Heat Seekers featured Campo's and highlighted The Heater, a spicy cheesesteak with jalapeno cheddar and buffalo hot sauce. The menu has a host of hot and cold sandwiches that all look great. They also have several sides, salads, soups and desserts. I ordered the Heater and my wife ordered the Flyer's Ice Steak, with Philly cream cheese,... More

As a kid growing up in the suburbs of Philadelphia, I quickly became an expect on spotting a good Philly Hoagie. My daughter decided to send me a "taste of hometown-Philly" via FoodyDirect.com 1-day delivery to our home in Mystic, Connecticut. SCORE! One bite and I was taken back to my childhood memory of that unique hoagie taste ONLY found... More

I did a lot of research before we stopped for cheesesteaks. Campo's was top 4 on at least 3 lists. My husband and I both got "The Works" sandwiches. They were delicious, but not my favorite cheesesteak in Philly. However, you must not leave before ordering a cannoli. It was UHH-MAZE-ING!! The Root Beer was also delicious! Great lunch!
