We were in town for a few hours on a long layover at the airport and wanted to visit the sites and grab a cheesesteak. I went to a pharmacy to get some cold medical and asked the pharmacist which of the local places was best and he recommended Campo's without hesitation. It was a great sandwich and the girl... More

Tried it while in Philly for the weekend. Shared one sandwich for two, as it is sodium, cholesterol and calorie heavy . Unfortunately I do not have anything to compare it with, but we did enjoy it. WARNING: If you are driving there, NOTE the parking regulations as the city seems to be all over the place with when and... More

I spent a weekend in Philly, but only got to try one place for the famous cheese steaks. I cannot compare unfortunately. The meat was ok.

Cheesteak sandwiches are no doubt the essential Philly food and a bad cheesteak here is better than 95% of the cheesteaks in the USA. That said there can only be 1 "best.". The meat and roll are Campo's strengths while the onions and Cheez Whiz were less stellar. Cash only and 6% sales tax will be added.

Tried this place as a recommendation from the hotel we were staying at around the corner. I was pleasantly surprised. Fresh steak cooked to order in a warm sub roll.

Stopped in for a quick bite while we were in town recently, for a wedding. It was after lunch but this place was still full. In my experience- that's a good thing! My husband and I split a delicious cheesesteak combo and claimed the only open table. The food was fresh and delicious. (The girl at the counter said her... More

I enjoy a well made and delicious cheesesteak. And this is one. The roll was top notch, the meat was juicy, and the roll was filled with plenty of steak and cheese. One of the best I have had in a long while and earns 5 stars.

When I went to Campos, the service was great even though there were many people there. The food was great because the steak had lots of flavor. If there weren't so many people in the room there would be plenty of space. The thing I liked most about the restaurant were the cheese steaks.

We were super excited about trying real Philadelphia Cheesesteaks for the first time. I am a vegetarian, so mine veggie cheesesteak was okay. I think we hyped the whole experience up too much and when the sandwiches were just okay, we were let down.
