I didn't mind since i'm a solo diner, but your meal could be alot pricier if more then one person. Its just one of the defining foods for philly. As for the sandwich it was just average i would have been better off ordering from the street vendors around the area

Stopped by for lunch after the Betsy Ross House. Nice outside patio seating. The sandwich was good, but a little more meat for the money would have been better. Bottled beer for sale, too!

We stopped by here on our way out of town after visiting the Independence Park area. It was expensive for what you got, and the meat on my cheese steak was grisly and tough.

I am in no way a cheese steak expert, but I was not overly impressed with Campos. The last time we were in Philly, we tried Sonny's, which we agreed was better. All four of us ordered cheese steaks with wiz (cheese wiz) and a variation of onions, peppers and mushrooms. The wiz was over powering and we really couldn't... More

Tried a few cheese steaks around Philly, but Campo's was the best. Bread was soft, just the right amount of seasoning. A little cramped on the dining, but worth it.

We were looking for a good Philly Cheesesteak place and were told to try Campos. It had the look and feel of the neighborhood. Small and cramped and although a little busy, there were tables available inside and out. They were busy behind the counter and we placed our orders in a few minutes and waited about 15 minutes to... Campos is generally rated among the very top cheese steak places in Philadelphia. Based on my experience I would have to wonder about that reputation. The shop is classically small and cramped with lots of atmosphere from the Old City neighborhood. The service was best described as disinterested, not especially helpful, maybe they were just tired. The cheese steak was... More

Our cheese steak sandwiches were excellent. I generally lay off cheese steak for the most part, but want it to be really good when I do have it. I was not disappointed. My only issue would be that the sandwiches were on the small side and a bit pricey. Two sandwiches, two bottles of water, and a potato salad, came... More

My family was all excited for original Philly Cheesesteak. We were walking around and walked in just before the lunch rush. We all ordered The Original with either American or Provolone. Very good, but food was same as a Sit in restaurant bill and drink were very expensive. The restaurant was interesting, with Philadelphia sports memorabilia and an autographed painting... More

We were told Campo's had good sandwiches and we were not disappointed. The 3 in our group had a cheesesteak, the Caprese sandwich and a BLT. All 3 were delicious. Yes it is pricey and it's cash only, but vacation means splurge.
