Unique selection of food & Beer

The menu, written in chalk in the back, is all over the map, from french cuisine to standard american fare, but every bit was as good as the next, and the craft beer selections were out of this world. Had the poutine, and and eggplant dish and both were outstanding. My co-worker raved about the... read more

Stopped in today but found that they did not open until 4 pm. Thus, it was not open for lunch as advertised.

We caught this restaurant on "Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives" in our hotel room, so ate there the next day. We arrived mid afternoon Saturday and several tables were available downstairs. The room behind the bar is naturally less noisy. Twenty Pennsylvania beers are featured, and the fare is way beyond bar food. My husband and daughter ordered their signature chicken... More

We checked out Standard Tap because we saw it on Diner, Drive-ins & Dives. Wow - what a gem. There's an upstairs where you can get reservations and a downstairs bar area that does not take them. We ate downstairs - it's noisy but fun. Menus are up on blackboards. You'll have to ask the server to describe how things... More

Went for dinner on March 14th with a party of four. I had the roasted bone marrow for an appetizer and it was very good. For dinner I had the chicken pie which was a very nice sized pastry puff stuffed which shredded, marinated chicken. It was very tasty and the pastry puff was light and crisp. My wife had... More

I've been going to the Standard Tap for years. The service is wonderful. They are known for their burger, which I order often. I just recently took an out of town guest here and we loved it! We sat at the upstairs bar, they have a great beer and cocktail selection. I also love Sunday brunch here.

What a great place! A buzzing local pub with a great range of beers and Philadelphia food! Really relaxed atmosphere with attentive service and a marvelous range of beers at reasonable prices! The food was marvellous - homely, but fresh and tasty and not too much or too heavy. We had a great night & I really recommend Standard Tap... More

Had Sunday Brunch there. Prices were fair, food was good. What I was really impressed with was the staff. We had a misunderstanding when ordering, the staff took care of it and the chef came out to apologize. That is what customer service should be. Looking forward to going back to have a hamburger and beer.

We went to a friend's house party on New Year's Eve and the next morning four of us went for breakfast and hair of the dog. We were able to make a reservation within an hour of us getting there and we were seated right away. The music was great, if you were born in the 80s and like classic... More
