Friendly staff, with a nice atmosphere and tasteful decor. The food was very good, but the bread came late and the food did as well. Be prepared to wait.

Have been here before and liked it but they must of changed chef and management. Service was terrible from the hostess, to wait staff. Food was just ok. The special soup was a cold tomato that tasted like dirt, the pasta entree was a pappardelle with veggies that had really no taste, it was like they added water to stretch... More

I saw the owner chef win an episode of the television show Chopped. After having Sunday brunch there, I understand why he was a winner. The food was good, and the prices not bad.

I had lunch and drinks at the fine wooden bar during the France-Nigeria World Cup match. I was expecting the place to be bursting with French fans as it often is during these matches, but apparently most of them stayed home or watched on other venues. Even the owner who was there for the previous match with his raucous french... More

With a modest selection of very nice simple dishes, this small restaurant with tables spilling out onto the sidewalk was just what we wanted when we got into our hotel a bit late this evening. I had the roast chicken with incredibly delicate gnocchi, and my wife had the Skate, a first-for-us-fish with nice density and a new flavor. The... More

Needed a restaurant in Philly centre on a Sunday to say thank you to our hosts whilst holidaying in the US. Many restaurants were booked or closed. Caribou Cafe's French food hit the spot as we have fond memories of France. The service was good although the lad who did the water and bread was a bit vague. We had... More

We had a lovely meal here and it was very reminiscent of time we spent in France. Great food, nicely presented, wonderful dessert.

The food at Caribou is good and well presented; we ate on a Friday night and the place was relatively empty (hard to follow-- there are several "better known" restaurants it's impossible to get into on a Friday that offer comparable or worse food and service). The menu is fairly traditional but solidly done. Service was fine and the wine... More

With little time to spare and theater tickets in our pockets we stopped in to the Caribou for a quick meal. Excellent fresh pasta with a special home made sausage and just the right amount of sauce filled my needs very well. My wife ordered one of the many salad offerings and throughly enjoyed it. Although bread is off my... More

You can't go wrong at Caribou Café. The food is delicious and the service is great. Caribou is a must when in Philly. A few of my favorites are escargots with garlic sauce and the bouchee a la reine (shrimp, seafood quenelles, mushrooms and lobster sauce served in puff pastry). However, anything on the menu is worth a try.
