Ate here on a holiday Monday....they offered a brunch menu, sandwiches, full entrees and sides. You can either eat outside on small tables or inside. It's not a huge place but you don't feel crowded in. The food was good.....hamburger cooked perfectly with onions and cheese. The fries were crunchy and not too salty.......and the tuna sandwich with wasabi was... More

I love Steak Tartare. That being said, Rouge in Rittenhouse offered up one of the best I have ever eaten. Perfectly spiced and delicate on the palate, this was a little plate of heaven. Also enjoyed a perfectly grilled Octopus dish, that might have been even better with a little less Cous Cous....this being an appetizer, it just was overkill... More

I come to Philly perhaps once or twice a year. I used to always make Rouge a lunch time must when I return. This was so until Parc came about. The food is good but nothing special. The wines are interesting but growing in price. The service is inconsistent, but it always seems to err on the uppity. So I... More

Had this recommended at the Hotel and it was good. Pretty French bistro, and we were told that they actually copied one in Paris. The food was great and it was quite popular with locals, wich is always a good thing. They usually know we're to go. we had the lamb it was delicious. Our waiter was efficient and friendly.... More

Enjoyed a casual lunch while watching the flow of people and the beauty of Rittenhouse Square. Wonderful lunch choices especially the seared tuna sandwich. Spiced perfectly without being too spicy for me. Soba noodle side was special. Service was very attentive and our server was knowledgable about all the menu items including all the cheeses. Nice wine and cocktail selection.... More

This is obviously a place to see and be seen but unlike some places with this distinction, the food is great too. So: 1. excellent food and service 2. really good people watching I had the Belgian endive and Bibb lettuce salad, the roast organic chicken with pureed potatoes and garlic lemon spinach. My friend had the feta and watermelon... More

Stopped in late one evening and found a spot at the very cool oval bar. Clearly there were people there who wanted to be seen, but others were just hanging out with friends. The bartender was attentive to everyone. A pleasant experience, but not a place for a large group.

This place is really good for people watching! Had appetizers and a drink late Saturday afternoon and it was very enjoyable. Loved the escargot with goat cheese. The calamari was nothing special. Good but not fabulous creme brûlée. Prices are not cheap but you are really paying for a fantastic locale and overall experience.

The coffee here is great. I thought the food was fine, but nothing too special. What did make the experience special was sitting outside with a view of the park on a beautiful summer day.

The atmosphere was great here on a Saturday afternoon across from Rittenhouser Park. They have tables on the street but we sat inside with the wide windows open and it still felt like you were on the street. Inside is better because the tables and chairs on the street are very close together. Our lunches were very good from fish... More
