Outdoor seating and good food

Overall the food was pretty good. Nice seating on the sidewalk with views of Rittenhouse Square. Great people watching spot. Some of the food tried to hard to be trendy at the expense of being just good food. The appetizers were very good however.

The place is nice for a "bar scene", popular more than nice, but it is usually too crowded, too crowded to enjoy.

On a college visit to Philly, my daughter and I walked around Rittenhouse Sq to find a spot. Rouge was the ticket. We tried their world famous burgers (outstanding) and a salad (also outstanding). Prices for the view - we sat at a table on the sidewalk and people and dog watched. Staff is excellent.

Excellent food and drinks - sit at the bar! The bartender takes his craft seriously and made some damn good craft cocktails. He picked apps for our group, made awesome choices. Our group had one obnoxious person, he handled her without skipping a beat.

Without wasting too much time here are some points. Eggs Benedict - under cooked eggs (runny whites), vinegary hollandaise. Side of toast - not toasted and half buttered in rancid butter. They seemed to know this as it was removed before I'd finished it. Service - slow and annoyingly fake in the way we Europeans dislike thoroughly.

The food is forgettable. The ambiance is to die for. I love the romantic appeal. The price is outrageous.

I loved that there was both streetside café like seating and that the entire restaurant was open to the outside on this gorgeous summer Sunday. The brunch menu was just right in the offerings size, and we both had egg dishes. Add in the spicy bloody mary and the morning... ahem.,afternoon...started just right. Lots of other great choices on both... More

Had dinner there on a Thursday night and the place was full. Tables outside and inside. The semi circular bar inside has a great ambiance and offers great choice of drinks. The food is very good, not a big menu but you can find anything from hamburgers to branzino. Both are very good by the way. You may to wait... More

We went here for lunch midweek and found the food and service to be great. You are able to sit outside or in with a wonderful view of Rittenhouse Square. It is a smaller spot so room is limited and it can get rather loud.
