Nothing spectacular

we had a reservation and got seated right away... The food was okay, atmosphere a bit snooty not certain why. Just okay.

We had dinner here last night and enjoyed the food and service. I would have liked better illumination, but mood lighting seems to be in these days. The menu is small but certainly offers sufficient choices. Service was topnotch and we could have not asked for more. The long, fairly narrow room with high and standard tables has a pleasant... When you see the menu you will have 1 of 2 reactions: 1) "what should I have? There's so much to choose from!" or 2) "complex descriptions; is the food really this complex?" I will admit my reaction was #2. The menu is actually not extensive, but just reading the complex menu descriptions takes awhile. I had the Confit Octopus... More

We, along with friends from out of town, decided to check out this restaurant. Waited an awfully long time for food to arrive. The Staff seemed impatient with patrons and the food was lackluster. Overall not a very inspiring dining experience.

Three of us had dinner at Matyson (BYOB)on Friday evening. We were seated promptly and with a smile. The hostess took our coats, checked if we wanted anything while we waited for another member of our party. Our server was Tracy. When we told her that it was Passover and so there were items on each offering that we were... More

A somewhat eclectic menu which is what we were seeking. Not for everyone. The fact that it is BYOB is great as we were able to select and bring our own wine a and it certainly helps with the final bill. Service was excellent and our waiter was informative, attentive and generally delightful. Food was very tasty and portions were... More

Ate there last night with friends who are foodies and who eat at Matyson frequently. It is their favorite restaurant. The "Duck Two Ways" appetizer was fabulous I wear hearing aids, however, and Matyson, though without annoying music audio, was disastrous. The place is a NOISE BOX!.

We decided to take our son to Matyson on his birthday based on the great reviews on TA and we were not disappointed. The restaurant, though small, was welcoming and had a great ambiance. The servers were attentive and knowledgeable when it comes to the menu. Everything we had that night, from the appetizers to the dessert was phenomenal. In... More

...a very reliable and quality driven restaurant that also extends a byob policy so while you're indulging in their excellent Foie Gras appetizer and wonderful Rack of Lamb entree you can pair it up with some of your own personal favorite Sauternes or Cab's or whatever . And do so in a very relaxed and comfortable room.4 stars

Went with a group of 4 people. I had the waygu beef and lobster. Beef was cooked perfectly medium rare as requested. Lobster was succulent. Mushroom soup appetizer was creamy and had great flavor. Wife got the Fois Gras appetizer which is definitely unique and worth trying if you are into trying something different.
