Comfort food!

Great atmosphere, great food. $20 entrees but good ol home cookin'! Different menu than most places with options like meatloaf, potato pancakes, thanksgiving dinner, chicken pot pie, etc. Lounge type diner atmosphere. Service is very friendly, servers wear cozy sweaters. Cozy sums it up!

I took a friend and her children to Jones on a Saturday evening. The service was great and the food was delicious. This is a new favorite of mine. I wish I would have waited for a fireplace table. The only negative is that our table was the first one on the left nearest the door. People were standing right... More

Young vibe, but brought our three pre-teens and felt perfectly comfortable. The atmosphere is hip. Very funky chairs (aka Brady Bunch kitchen) but the rooms is bright with lots of stone. Lots of seating. Ate a delicious Sunday brunch. Potato pancake appetizer. Really wanted to get the monkey bread app too! It all looked so good. Kids had chocolate chip... More

I have been to most of the Stephen Starr restaurants, first time here. Would have to say I was pretty disappointed. The tables were too tight to sit together without being on top of each other and the food was the worst I have had in any S.S. place. The brisket sandwich was chopped beef in a brown gravy...and I... Atmosphere was comfortable and appealing Starr standard. However the food was basic comfort food. I expect more creativity and elevation with Starr food. Overall it's decent but a bit of a let down compared to their other restaurants. Service was very good and made for a pleasant experience.

Been going to Jones on and off for about 18 months since we live in the area. No more. No one seems to attend to the complaint that this place is deafening. In fact we left early on one visit because the noise level was so aversive that our ears were ringing and it was impossible to carry on a... More

After several hours of sightseeing in Philadelphia and looking for a place to eat, this place was recommended to us by a friendly stranger on the street. We were cold and wanted to find a cozy place to warm up and refuel. Jones definitely met our needs in this respect. The food was decent, but nothing remarkable. I can personally... More

Ughh so mediocre! I don't even get the appeal. Was almost forced to go here and never again. Overpriced to say the least. Drinks overpriced and mediocre. Food is a hit or miss. Our calamari salad had maybe 5 pieces of ridiculously over salted calamari. Almost inedible. Mac and cheese with velveeta cheese sauce, seriously?! For the price I definitely... More

Well, the food is good at Jones every time we've eaten there and I do love the decor. The menu is pricey comfort food (macoroni & cheese, fish sticks!, burgers, etc. and some $18 -$22 entrees. The FOOD: We split a delicious and generous cobb salad, I had a BBQ'd pork sandwich (also generous and delicious). My spouse had a... More

We arrived late into Philadelphia and asked our hotel for a recommendation on somewhere casual to eat that was kid-friendly. If you want comfort food in a nicer setting, this is the place to go. I had grilled cheese and tomato soup and when asked if I wanted to add bacon, tomato, or avocado, I said YES PLEASE! My son... More
