Stylish sushi

Pod is a really nicely designed eatery with great ambient lighting installations. The menu is extensive and the sushi deliciously fresh. Friendly staff, strong drinks and a fun place to go with friends. Will visit again

Pod came highly recommended by a friend and it didn't disappoint. Fabulous quirky interior, friendly staff that advised on the menu and fantastic fresh and tasty food. The sushi had an interesting twist and we loved the robato grilled Japanese Eggplant. The dessert menu was equally tempting and we couldn't resist the Fluffernutter Spring Rolls which were delicious. We will... More

Cuts of sushi skimpy, but tasty. Not good value for money. Interior is airy and spacious. Ultramodern and mostly white. Decent oasis on Penn campus.

a very cool vibe and décor. the staff was very friendly, and provided good insight into the selections. The menu offered out-of-the-ordinary sushi, rolls, and traditional menu items, all presented nicely and good portions. The colored lighting in the pods becomes a little overwhelming if you are seated there, but creates a very unusual dining experience. The main dining area... More

i find the sashimi to be the smallest that i have had vs other places i have eaten and the price is a bit expensive.

Continuing on our dining explorations of Philly, we tried out Pod. Located in University City, the lunch menu boasts sushi, dim sum, and entrees. We started off with two rolls caterpillar and spicy tuna. Huge roles 12 pieces each and incredibly tasty! For entree my husband had the short rib bento box (delish - wish I would've got it too)... Great location right next to the Inn at Penn. The interior is an LED experience that is unique. Fortunately, the food also matches; the sushi is fresh and did not disappoint. The drink selection is also interesting, although the craft beer selection left much to be desired. I look forward to my next visit!

Pod is a very interesting restaurant. I was there for dinner last Saturday with 3 friends, and it was very enjoyable. Also an interesting mixed cultural crowd was there for dinner and/or cocktails, but that's what one would expect since the restaurant is on the U of PA campus. All of us had a fish entree which was excellent. I... More

Pod is a consistently great place to dine- they use such fresh ingredients and each dish I've had was wonderful, flavorful and just the right portions! Pod is also a fun place to share plates. It's one of my favorite places around Penn's campus. Never disappointed. Noise level can get a little high on a Friday or Saturday night.
