There isn't much atmosphere but, service and food are both good. We ordered a bunch of different foods than we had tried before and all were good. The waiters were very attentive. Near the Reading Terminal Market on Race St.

If your in the mood for authentic thia Pho and your really hungry this is the place for you. It's located in China Town in the city. Easy to get to and spot on, delish! Nothing fancy just great service and top notch food. Just don't tell too many people, I still want to be able to grab a table... More

They also serve Thai food but Vietnamese dishes are their main thing. For starters, we had the shrimp on sugar cane and the shrimp rolls, which were both quite good. For mains, we've had the pho with medium rare beef, tendon and tripe. The lemon grass chicken and pork chop on rice is quite good too. The soursop and jackfruit... More

This is more like a cafe, lots of locals, great buzz and busy! I rolled up on a week night about 10 mins before they were dues to finish serving. They sat me down, made me feel welcome and didnt rush me. Great fresh, zingy vibrant food in similar surroundings. Huge portions, I would definitley reccommend

My family of picky eaters - one vegetarian, one gluten free, one who mostly eats beige food, and one carnivore - were perfectly happy with our meal from Pho Xe Lua. We called to order take out for dinner and it was ready 10 minutes later. We had vermicelli with grilled pork, a vegetable soup, a mixed vegetable dish, stir... More

Our son, who lives in Philly, brought us here for lunch, saying it was the best in the city. Can't disagree after having a wonderful chicken and rice with lemon grass. Our son got the large bowl of pho with sausage and some pretty hot peppers, and my wife's mashed shrimp and ginger was a succulent marriage of sweetness and... More

Authentic Thai food. Simple, delicious and quick. Felt adventurous that day so I tried the raw meat appetizer and the Thai Iced Tea, one word: WONDERFUL. The soup was perfect at the first taste but acually got BETTER as I ate, the ingredients had a chance to settle a bit and mix together. The service was top notch. I needed... More

Philly Chinatown is great..Chinese food is OK compare to NYC or the same..but the vietnamese food is much better than what I have a home..which is a shame!! The only place better If I recall is California...They have the best Vietnamese food. But Pho Xe is just as good and the size of the Pho and the extra noodle they... More

Great clean fresh broth - beef a step above the rest...again very clean and fresh. Great Coi Cuon and raw flank steak carpaccio is wonderful here. Definitely the best in Chinatown for a great price. No need to go to any of the "pho" restaurants - this spot is it...go to the choo choo and see for yourself. Bun and... More
