Back for the food, not for the non-existent welcome

Recently returned to Fork for another wonderful meal. since we have eaten at Fork 6 times during the past 12 months, I was surprised that no one acknowledged that we were frequent customers. No, "Hello, how are you." No "welcome back." Since we book online surely Fork must know that they are... read more

Booked Fork for a dinner with conference colleagues. We all chose the 4 course house special menu $75 (you all have to pick same dining option) where you select your own choices. This came with a variety of unusual amuse bouches between courses which were amazing. Food was excellent, staff were lovely, wine was overpriced but good. However be warned... More

Fork is a beautiful restaurant with outstanding cuisine. We ordered ala carte rather than choosing one of the set menus. Every dish was beautiful to look at and tasted fantastic. I had the branzino which was one of the best presentations I had even tasted. They bake all their own bread and we were served mini bialys first with a... More

Our two recent dinners at Fork lived up to the restaurant's top-five rating by Philadelphia food critics. Enter the restaurant off busy Market Street into a narrow space bustling with activity in the front bar area and in the rear open kitchen. Expect great service. Friendly hosts and waitstaff. Attentive but not pompous, and we never felt rushed. A prix... More

Planned a special night for my friend and I a few weeks ago. I picked this restaurant because it was in a listing of best restaurants in Philadelphia. The service from the moment you entered the restaurant was very attentive and pleasant. The table where we sat was in the middle of the dining room and a perfect spot. However,... More

We dined at Fork after reading about it in the book "1001 Restaurants you should dine in before you die!". Despite the temperature outside being freezing, it was a great restaurant to visit! The staff were friendly, very well informed and attentive, without being overbearing. Their Szechuan duck looked fabulous but quite large, so we chose the House Menu which... More

we booked the 7lb duck for 2. If we got 4 oz it was a lot. When the waitress brought out the beautiful roasted duck, I asked her were we going to be served the entire thing or was it like Peking duck where you only got to peek at it? She said we would be served the whole thing.... More

We were a group of Italians from Tuscany on our last night in the States after a long trip through New York, DC and Philly and we chose the Fork being close to our apartment on a snowy night. Great choice! In spite being very busy that night, the service was great, everyone was very attentive and caring of us.... More
