Cuba Libre is by far, the best dining experience in Old City. We were a little skeptical about trying Cuban food, but were rewarded with the most delicious meal of our 5 day stay. Once inside the restaurant, the palm trees and rustic decor made us feel like we were in old time Havana. We were seated in wicker chairs... More

March 2010: Our family was coming through doing a New England history tour and college visits for our eldest. After being in the old town and touring all things historic, we wanted something new for lunch. Cuba Libre was our first taste of Cuban food and this was a brand new restaurant in rough-edged Philly neighborhood that was just beginning... More

We really enjoyed Cuba Libre - food was very good. We usually get the 15 taste of cuba but they don't offer that on Saturday night and we never went there on a Saturday Night before. I had the skirt steak and it was very good. Would recommend going to Cuba Libre but I would go any night but Saturday... More

Great selection of food. Are dishes were very flavorful and presented well. Very interesting decor and good service. The prices are a little high but the service is worth it. Great place to take a date.

The whole experience was great. Service, food, drinks. We came upon the bar by mistake and it just called to us. I highly recommend that they open the very thing in Toronto so we can go regularly.

Stopped in during a Happy Hour visit and were sad to find out that the happy hour deals were not applicable to the table we were seated at. The Happy Hour deals were only at the bar (Fantastic price for mojitos!). We ended up ordering mojitos anyways and sampled 4 tapas from the menu. All of the dishes were fantastic... More

It wasn't too busy since we went during the week. Quite pricey but we shared four tapas and it was reasonable. Loved the outstanding service and the inside décor.

If you are looking for a great place to eat, this is it. I stopped in last week with a friend for lunch and we were both impressed. I had the special (Cuban Bento D) and my friend had the Mama Amelia's Empanadas. Both lunch were excellent. I only wish I had found this place sooner I would of had... More

Looking for a lunch spot, happened upon this restaurant quite by accident. The open air seating and the look of a tropical courtyard caught our eyes. Delicious drinks (never before have I seen such a variety of Mojitos). Food delicious and very generous servings. We both had the "Taste of Cuba." Wonderful service. Will definitely go back.

We saw a full house on Saturday night and decided to give it a try on Sunday. Good call - food was flavourful, plentiful and fresh. Nice Mojitos. Lovely dinner - we tried the tasting menu at $40 bucks a person. It's three days later and I'm still full.
