I was very impressed with the service and the food. The place surprised me and it was a pleasant surprise to say the least.

Cuba Libre is an authentic Cuban inspired restaurant where the food is great and the service is phenomenal. The ambiance makes you feel like you are in a small downtown Cuban restaurant or marketplace. The selection of food is good and the price is right. Everyone was accommodating and made this an enjoyable experience. If you come on the right... More

Came here for Restaurant Week with my husband and our 5 month old son and we had such a great time that I had to come write this as my husband is driving us home. We had 2 servers, one of whom I assumed was training. That server was unbelievably friendly and personable with us and our son, even though... More

This is a decent Cuban restaurant--the rope vieja is legit--but nothing spectacular. The vegetarian paella was bland and the tostones were good, but not great. Our service was also not great, but not in the traditional sense. Our waiter was really intense, repeatedly tried to upsell us on our drink and food orders and when he came back (repeatedly) to... Headed to the restaurant with a customer while in town on business. We started with a selection of empanadas and found they were delectable. I continued with the Churrasco a la Cubano (Chimichurri marinated flank steak), which was perfectly cooked and full of flavor. Ended the meal with their Flan, which was creamy and not too big.

Great atmosphere. Great Manhattans. And that slider sampler is a win-win-win-win. It may not have been the sampler, we may have just ordered them all and then sampled.

This place is lovely. It has an enchanted look and feel and perfect selection of Rum. It surprising to me that in a tourist area of Philly, the hiring manager at this place didn't consider the customer service skills of the bartender. This guy looks like he wishes he'd be home playing Madden or something. I asked to sit somewhere... More

Went there with a coworker for dinner. For both of us this was our first encounter with cuban cuisine. We also selected the same entree: Vaca Frita - a dish with braised and crisped-shredded flank steak, roasted onions and citrus-garlic sauce. This came with a side order of white rice and Cuban black beans. The food was well prepared although... More

The food and atmosphere were both very good, but the service was great - our server gave some excellent suggestions for food, and (as a non-expert) this was highly welcome and I was very pleased with the decisions he helped me make!
