BYOB PRIX FIXE Menu - changes frequently. Reservations are very hard to get to make in advance. Parking is available for 2 hrs free in the adjacent public parking lot. Food was great, and I would definitely return. If I am comparing French food, I would put this in second place behind Bistrot La Minette for Philly French restaurants but... More

We have been to France on several occasions,, but I would put this cozy Bella Vista BYOB gem at the top of the list. Our meal was a work of art from the moment we walked in to the moment we left. Jeff guided us through the options, answered our questions and made us feel at home. I was reluctant... More

Wonderful meal, wonderful waiter at this popular little BYOB restaurant. Our table of 4 loved our meals of marrow and duck...so unique and tasty. Only one complaint...we understand that this place is in high demand - especially on a Sat. - but they really should not 'rush' the table clearing. It felt like we were being swiftly moved along after... More

Food 5 Service 4 Atmosphere 4 Bibou is a perfect spot for a foodie (tasting menu) or a romantic dinner for a small (repeat, small) group. It is CASH only and BYOB (wine...don't show up with a 2L coke or boxed wine). The place is small but well appointed. There are 2 counter seats for the tasting menu (which I... More

Lovely tiny restaurant on 8th just north of Washington Ave in South Philly. Great for a birthday or other evening out. Authentic classic french food (fish dishes like Dorade, filet mingon, rare duck breast, escargots, foie, etc) done with very good expertise. The duck breast is very rare and very tender. The pork foot stuffed with foie gras was very... More

We had been trying to make reservations for dinner at Bibou for quite some time. As luck would have it, I was able to get a reservation for Saturday evening at 5:30 PM--albeit early, but, hey--works for me. That being said, we took my daughter to Bibou for a birthday celebration...and I'm just so happy we went!! First of all,... More

Wonderful dinner altogether! This was one of the greatest meals I have ever had – the food, the atmosphere, and the service. Superb! The chef came out to talk with us and it was obvious he cares and appreciates his customer. Five stars! We had the tasting menu.

Wow, this is classic French dining in a neighbourhood restaurant. We came from Central Philly and walked past the rather downmarket Vietnamese eateries, the scruffy Italian market, and the small residential sidestreets (stopping at a liqueur store for a good bottle of cold Pinot Grigio - Bibou is BYOB) until we came upon this fabulous place. It's small, cosy, friendly... More

If this review was based solely on my experience, I would give it a perfect score. But my wife didn't care much for the escargots she ordered -- which I ended up eating. Other than that, we had a great time... great food.... great service. A bit pricey for such a small place and you have to bring your own... More
