Best dinner in ages!

We went to Vetri for a friend's 65th birthday on the recommendation of a colleague and had a very special, memorable evening. They only offer a tasting menu and I'm not always so keen on those, but we decided to go anyway and I'm very glad we did! As other reviewers have said, it's in an... read more

I have been wanting to visit Vetri for a few years, so finally we managed to get here. The place only seats about 30 people (not including a private dining room upstairs) and it is housed in an elegant old townhouse. The dress is casual, though, and you feel personally welcomed into a very warm and comfortable dining room. Outside... More

It was a special occasion for us and price wasn't a consideration when making plans. We knew it was v expensive. But we expected the very finest in dining. We left disappointed in what we were served. If we go back which is not likely we would study the menu and order specifically the dishes we wanted instead of taking... More

We really enjoyed our night at Vetri's. Its entrance is unassuming, but this small cosy restaurant, with only a couple of tables, delivered a nice experience. It offers only a degustation menu, which was creative and tasty. Our Barolo and Brunello pairing was great. Of notice: the breads.

This is a price fix restaurant where you can leave your choices up to the chef. You are shown a menu and you can state items you definitely want to try or don't want to experience. We left the choices up to the chef and were very pleased with the results. Our favorite dish was rib eye steak -- Creek... More

Had dinner at Vetri this evening (11/24) This was an experience not to be forgotten and one to be repeated. From the entrance to the departure the staff treated us with kindness and respect giving the feeling that we have met before and enjoyed each others' company. Dinner took 3 hours and the courses flowed out of the kitchen. Three... More

Fine Fine. The art of the culinary. An Italian tasting menu. The location is beautiful, the neighborhood is a star. A very old charming house. We were seated at an alluring corner. Vetri is a special place, flawless, a dream. The most sophisticated Italian restaurant. Haute cuisine. Ten plates. A culinary immersive experience. It was a performance, we never lived... More

I recently reserved a table at Vetri for my wife's 40th birthday. The entire experience was just marvelous. The restaurant called to confirm our culinary choices (I am vegetarian but my wife is not), and tailored the menu in a way that we both had a really good time. My only complaint (if that) was that the food kept coming... More

We have been trying to eat here for several years, and the stars aligned for a Sunday night seating. The menu is $155 for what is stated as four courses, but there are actually more than these, including amuses, and desserts. The server, and in fact a preparatory phone call, took extra pains to make sure we had no allergies... More

We loved everything about this restaurant! The space is inviting and cozy with a staff to match. They are professional and personable. The meal was paced perfectly, and being in the chef's hands is exactly where every diner should be. Each course was better than the last. For me, the veal tartare with sweetbreads was the standout. For my wife... More
