Vetri was one of the top two dinners we have ever had (Restaurant Gary Danko in SF was the other). Food, service, ambiance...could not have been better. Some of the dishes were transcendent (Almond Tortellini!!!). Not cheap by a long shot, hard to get a reservation, but try!!! It is a tasting menu so you never know what you're getting,... More

We had a delicious dining experience! That's what it is, an experience! Each course was paired with the perfect wine. There was not one course we did not enjoy! The courses are so creative and unique! The spinach gnocchi was like dessert it was so good!! All the servers were fantastic but our main server Caitlin was so pleasant and... More

We came to philadelphia from new york especially for this meal. It did not disappoint. The food was incredible and the wine pairings made it even more perfect. The service could not have been better.

Real simple....if you want an excellent meal, and overall very good dining experience, this is a must try! My wife and I had wanted to try this restaurant for some time. Needed to make reservations ~ 2-3 months in advance. We had a reservation for four people, requesting a table near the windows, overlooking the street. Only one glitch...when we... More

In reading some of the reviews I am surprised to see some people complaining about their order not being handled correctly. Don't go here to order. Go to eat. We had 7 courses. They were excellent and we didn't order anything. We tried the young wine pairing and it was excellent. This is fantastic food and yes, it is expensive.... More

My husband and I had no kids for the night and needed to be in south Jersey the next day so after a lot of research decided to splurge on Vetri. There was SO MUCH FOOD AND WINE! Almost too much. Seven courses plus six wines! And all incentive except for the pasta course. But as I reflect I wonder... More

My wife and I went for our anniversary, and everything about the meal was perfect. Wonderful cozy ambiance and very friendly wait staff who did everything in their power to make us feel welcome and relaxed (unlike our experience at some high-end restaurants!). I highly recommend the quail and, for dessert, the macaroon.

Vetri: Uninspired dishes further marred by a far, far too heavy hand of salt. The porcelet was a few thin greasy strips of inedible fat. The Braised Rabbit Pappardelle was an alarming lump of overcooked brown paste. The only dishes that were not egregiously over salted were the cloyingly sweet almond paste-stuffed Almond Tortellini and the dry, pedestrian Piccolo Pasticceria.... More

After seeing all the 4 and 5 star ratings, this is the first time I feel as though I have to defend myself for writing a slightly negative review. First of all, I don't make a habit of spending $155 per person for dinner (and that's before drinks, tax and tip). In Philly and most other cities, you really don't... More

While the head waiter was very nice and professional, one of the other waiters had difficulty understanding me and vice versa. This turned out to be important. I ordered an expensive filet mignon medium rare and it came well done. Also, the same waiter seemed to be involved in an altercation that was definitely audible in the dining room. If... More
