We waited for just the right time to book a table at Vetri, and our 20th wedding anniversary seemed like the right moment. I had a fabulous birthday dinner at Vetri this weekend. The food and service were both spectacular. As other reviews noted, this is a tasting menu only with an opportunity to highlight a few things from the "menu". We noted a shellfish allergy for me, my wanting to try the almond tortellini and my husband wanting the blueberry dessert. I... More

Went expecting a great experience. Really disappointed. One course of squid pasta was so salty it was inedible. Told host and he said he's tell the kitchen...that's it..for him that was all that mattered...for me no pasta! Then once again dessert ..a ricotta filled pastry full of salt...why? couldn't eat it. Just came back from Inn at Little Washington in... More

I have eaten here a a couple of times and each time I am amazed by the experience that I've had. I recommend partaking in a wine pairing.

Visited as a couple for dinner. Vetri has been around for awhile--it had already been noted as one of the best restaurants when I lived in Philly years ago. Over the years the restaurant's style of cuisine has sort of evolve with the times--they now only offer a chef menu and one fixed price menu. The food style is Italian-influenced... More

There are two restaurants I'd recommend if $$ is no object in Philadelphia, and this is definitely one of them.

this is a restaurant for adventurous eaters. The chef selects the menu. It is a fixed price menu. We added the wine selections. It was the best meal we have had other than in Paris. It is expensive but worth it. A wonderful dining experience

It's hard to get a table at vetri, even after all these years. I have been trying to eat here for quite a while and finally got in this weekend. Had the vegetarian tasting menu, and it was so incredibly good, as expected of course. This place is a treasure, an expensive one, but well worth the visit if it... More

Spectacular dinner. The tasting menu included crab with snail butter, an onion crepe, spinach gnocchi, almond tortellini, veal, tenderloin and a panna cotta. Truly an amazing night of delicious food and perfected paired wines.

Each and every course was absolutely delicious but our favorite by far was the first pasta course where we were served three delicious pastas The taleggio ravioli with vincotto was the stuff dreams are made of. I'm still thinking about the wine sauce reduction. We also had the wine pairing which was spot on. I don't know much about wine... More
