When Kate and I had occasion to go to Philly. our research and friends’ recommendations put Vetri at the top of our list of restaurant destinations. We went to Vetri with high expectations and high hopes. The ambiance was pleasing as the restaurant was suitably small, making it almost unnoticeable from the street. Just a few small tables and plenty... More

I have to say that the food at Vetri is some of the best in Philadelphia. That said, it is the most expensive and not worth the jump from other great places. Dinner is $155 per person and wine pairings start at an additional $90. At almost $300 per person with tip, it's just not worth it. For far less... More

Vetri is small, unpretentious, and more casual than expected. In a small home on Spruce street with a charming sign and a living-room setting, people in a wide array of casual and business clothes sit comfortably, side-by-side enjoying a constant stream of exciting and interesting flavors that fuse old-world Italy with the new world and local PA ingredients. The pace... More

We were guests at Vetri on Nov 8th, a busy Saturday night. This was our first visit but has been on the wish list for a while. Vetri is a food lovers utopia, and does live up to its reputation. The service is impeccable and the food is flawless. The menu is preset with a nine course meal crafted to... More

YES! Vetri does! One of the few that really does live up to all the hype. Been thinking about checking it out for a couple of years but was skeptical that it'd be worth it. Finally made the decision to go but then of course it was booked solid for months in advance. The maître d' was very courteous and... More

At $300+ apiece for the tasting menu w/wine pairing I was expecting to be wowed at every turn. This did not happen at Vetri. The staff are probably some of the nicest, well educated and entertaining people I have ever encountered in restaurant dining. They were the highlight of the visit. The food was really good with interesting combinations that... More

Great dinner for two with wine pairings. Food was excellent. Wines were great. High price point, but worth the cost.

A rare blend of tastes, excellent tasting menu, and the most knowledgeable staff I have found in this part of the US. I was treated so do not know the price but it was a totally memorable experience. Near some other lovely parts of this surprising city. Definitely on my list of returns.
