An experience for your senses

If not just for the atmosphere alone, this location is something to see. The decor will keep your eyes busy for hours =) But let's be honest, you go somewhere to eat for the FOOD not for the decorations hanging all around. A decent bar area with pleanty of drink selection, as well as a... read more

I loved the eclectic atmosphere. The decor was definitely very interesting. All of the staff were super friendly and very attentive. I got the biscuits and gravy from their brunch menu and it was like I had died and gone to heaven. It was superb. We got there around 10 am on a Saturday and there was no wait and... More

Nothing fancy with the food, very average. Front room was pretty noisy for a Sunday. Good Bloody Mary, but that was the highlight of my meal. The wait staff was very friendly and attentive. Good service.

Someone recommended a restaurant nearby a few weeks back. Had a friend visiting - went to try for breakfast. 45 minute wait even for the counter seats. There were 2 of us. So walked back towards 2nd to head back to Old City & walked past N. 3rd. Walked in and voila' a new gem found in my new city!!... More

Just went for a drink & appetizers with a friend. Good beer selection, though not too many. We had the mussels with white wine sauce, and it was delicious! The place is a bit small, but has outdoor seating. Bartender was amiable. There's a" flying eagle" on the ceiling, which I think is a patriotic expression. Cute. Will go back... More

This spot is a go too for their regular menu, brunch, or mix it up w/ their special. The beer selection is short, but well thought out, and there is always a decent crowd.

A favorite place in Philadelphia - we have gone for brunch and dinner and like the specials as well as the standing menu. Brunch is seriously one of the best brunches in Philly. It is not fancy, of course, as this is a bar, so if you are looking for white table cloths, this is not the place, but if... More

This is a fine place in Northern Liberties. Northern Liberties is one of those formerly hipster...artsy-fartsy neighborhoods that is on it's way to yuppified upscale. It's a good area to take advantage of now as crime seems to be on the decline in Philadelphia and once the environs are totally secure, prices will skyrocket. The decor is typically cool bar.... So this meal essentially changed my life. Never have I ever tried chicken and waffles, and now I know it was because fate wanted my first time to be at N 3rd. The service was a little slow, but understandable as it was a busy Saturday afternoon. Also tried my friend's huevos rancheros which was very good also, but my... More
