Great Italian- as good most in NYC area

Not one bad thing- I tried three different dishes on different nights. All were excellent and the prices were lower than I would expect to pay for that good of a meal. Staff was great and knew me by sight on the second visit.

This place has nothing to do with real Italian food. Waiter was nice although a bit slow even though the restaurant was almost empty. The tomato sauce with the penne tasted like something out of a can. The antipasti appetizer was all preserved with a slice of tasteless tomato and mozzarella as well as 1 slice 'salami' which tasted more... More

A friend of ours recommended Spasso so we tried it. The restaurant's atmosphere was very good but not exceptional HOWEVER, our dinner was incredible! We will be coming back for seconds! ;)

Great italian food and efficient staff. The location is great and parking available nearby. Plenty of authentic italian dishes offered. My boyfriend and I enjoyed a romantic evening.

From the open kitchen you know that the chef is proud of his food. Best dish is the homemade pasta in any sauce.

I will start by saying that I love Italian food. So when I moved to Philadelphia three years ago, I immediatly started looking for good Italian restaurants. I decided to stop in at this place after work on a Friday back in the Summer. It seemed like a great idea at the time. Upon arrival, I realized that it was... More

I visited this place last week with my wife while on our short trip in Philadelphia. It has a great atmosphere, very romantic, and awesome food. The sauce is spectacular, the service is friendly, and the prices are decent. They have a full bar, a wide variety of items on their menu, and overall we enjoyed it.

This Front Street restaurant feels more "neighborhood" than "Center City." Nothing elegant, but comfortable. Some reviewers have remarked on the annoying presence of TV's, but there are none in the front room. Service is friendly and efficient. If you want to get through a meal quickly pre-theater or pre-movie, no problem. If you want to linger, order dessert and coffee... More

We enjoyed our night out at Spasso! The food is VERY tasy - you can tell the ingredients are fresh and the recipes are authentic! Everything we ate was good - calamari fried and grilled! mussels, crab, the pasta with shrimp was to die for and the dessert - the chocolate mousse was heaven! really soft and decadent! Service is... After researching local downtown restaurants on Trip Advisor, something I always do in advance, we chose Spassos. Upon entering we were greeted by Joe DelViscio, our server. He was very courteous, knowledgeable and attentive. The wine was excellent, the chef did an excellent job preparing our meal, the food was top notch, I can't praise them enough. Joe is an... More
