Get there early so you can watch the busiest bartender in Philly work. The bar alone is worth the visit then you get to the great food.

We at here at Christmas time. The restaurant is within walking distance of the Hotel Monaco. The decor is simple but the food is very good. We got linguini with clam sauce, salmon and steak. Our server was nice but a little slow. We enjoyed our meal and would definitely return.
Arrived early for our 7pm reservation and was greeted warmly and seated swiftly. That combines with the two great drinks we had is the only reason this is getting two stars and not one. We took advantage of the restaurant week menu. $35pp and you pick 1 app, entree, and dessert (anything) and get and pasta! Sounds pretty good, well... More
Very nice place and the food is great. Recommend a reservation if you plan on visiting during peak times. Great service. I had the crabmeat ravioli in a pesto sauce. Delish. It's located right in marketplace along a brick road. Beautiful neighborhood. Recommend
We went with kids, perfect choice. Nice menu to select from (but no pizza). Lots of excellent pasta dishes. The antipasto was delicious as was the special eggplant parmesan. Kids ate pasta, portions are a little too big, think of sharing if you have kids. Husband ate veal parmesan. Dessert an Italian treat. Great service, nice atmosphere...pretty good value for... More
Take my advice, do not ever listen to a bad review about this restaurant. I love Italian food with all my heart, and I can sit there and admit that this is the best Italian restaurant I have ever gone to in my life. I went here with my family a little over a year ago for a birthday celebration.... More
Our meal started with roasted peppers, they were very fresh and delicious. I had a veal entrée which was very, very tender and well done with roasted veggies on the side. The ambience is a bit plain, but the service and food were excellent.
Everything about Spasso was great. We had reservations so we were seated immediately; the restaurant was surprisingly full for a Tuesday night in December (a testament to the restaurant); service was top notch; the food was delicious - I had the Gnocchi Bolognese which was probably the best gnocchi I ever had (soft, fluffy - I can't believe one reviewer... The noise-level is overwhelming, but the food, wine and service are excellent. I had the gnocchi bolognese which was too gummy while my wife ordered the veal saltimboca which was terrific and, as with all the portion, big enough for two. So order appetizers and share an entree and go at an off-hor to avoid the noise.
