Great Italian for a picky Italian family!

Fantastic pasta with authentic gravy and antipasto. We really enjoy the fresh bread with complimentary vegetable/oil dipping sauce. My extremely picky Italian family loves this place each time they visit Old City.

Lovely , old world Italian restaurant, right by the river at Penn's Landing....food was excellent, and although the servers were nice, the service was a bit slow however, i would bame that on the place beng so crowded for Valentine's day.... only drawback is the parking is really expensive, if you can't get a spot by a meter...overall experience was very... I stumbled into this place, which is minutes away from Penn's Landing and Sugarhouse Casino. It's one of the finest Italian restaurants I've been to. I've sampled the menu, taken friends here numerous times and not once has anyone had a bad thing to say about this place. The sauces are spectacular and the pasta is perfect. For the amount... More

My boyfriend and I went for dinner tonight, I'm not one to write reviews but was so happy with this restaurant I just had to! We just each got a dinner, no appitizer or anything and we walked out of there beyond full. Very nice portions, and to top it off our waitress was so polite and very accomadating! Our... More

This place has nothing to do with real Italian food. Waiter was nice although a bit slow even though the restaurant was almost empty. The tomato sauce with the penne tasted like something out of a can. The antipasti appetizer was all preserved with a slice of tasteless tomato and mozzarella as well as 1 slice 'salami' which tasted more... More

Not one bad thing- I tried three different dishes on different nights. All were excellent and the prices were lower than I would expect to pay for that good of a meal. Staff was great and knew me by sight on the second visit.

A friend of ours recommended Spasso so we tried it. The restaurant's atmosphere was very good but not exceptional HOWEVER, our dinner was incredible! We will be coming back for seconds! ;)

Great italian food and efficient staff. The location is great and parking available nearby. Plenty of authentic italian dishes offered. My boyfriend and I enjoyed a romantic evening.

From the open kitchen you know that the chef is proud of his food. Best dish is the homemade pasta in any sauce.

I will start by saying that I love Italian food. So when I moved to Philadelphia three years ago, I immediatly started looking for good Italian restaurants. I decided to stop in at this place after work on a Friday back in the Summer. It seemed like a great idea at the time. Upon arrival, I realized that it was... More
