great place for a large part

A group of 8 of us had dinner there and it was a great experience. We sat next to the kitchen- too hot for me- I was uncomfortable. The drinks were tasty and the service was excellent. We ordered lots of dishes to share and were happy with each one.

My husband took me to Buddakan for my birthday. It was a great atmosphere! The cocktails, meal and dessert were fantastic. We let our waiter guide us in ordering and we were not disappointed. The doughnuts for dessert were extraordinary!

Met my daughter for lunch at Buddakan. We had an enjoyable meal. Service was great. They knew when to approach and ask without hovering. The food was delicious, prepared in such a way to be different without being too different. Price was as expected. This was our first visit, the first of many.

I recently had a client in town who wanted to dine here for lunch. I totally forgot it was restaurant week and tend to stay away from restaurants during RW. I was impressed with the menu this time. I'm not one for large portions especially during a busy work day as I will need a nap after lunch. The RW... More

Decided to try here after hearing so many other people rave over the place. We went during Philadelphia restaurant week on a Wednesday night. The place was packed! We were seated on the second floor which has it's own separate bar area. We both ordered off the price fixe menu, and even though the portions were not that large, the... More

My family went to Buddakan on January 21st and we had a great experience. It was restaurant week (which I had forgotten), and my daughter wanted to go here for her birthday. None of us had been here before, so we thought it was a great idea. After spending many minutes deciding what to order, I said that maybe we... More

We had lunch here during Restaurant Week. The prix fixe menu was quite reasonable, and though the portions were not huge, they were sufficient. The food, itself, was delicious.

The food there is great. However the crowds of people is quite overwhelming. The staff seems very overwhelmed and can be a little impolite. Make sure to book reservations well in advance

The food was good. We had the Miso Cod and Black Bean Scallops. Both were good portions and very enjoyable. The restaurant feels cramped and is a little noisy but it didn't subtract from the overall experience. The staff is extremely nice and accommodating. And the food comes out in a timely manner.

This is a destination restaurant for me as it is that good. Everything on the menu is delicious. Food is served family style, so that if you "choose" to share, you can. I would not "share" my Chilean Sea Bass as it is the most delectable dish and I am not ashamed to say it! The Monkfish, scallops, calamari salad,... More
