Last night was my second time at Buddakan, and it was even better than my first. We came for dinner on a Tuesday and I couldn't believe how busy it was! Definitely make sure you make a reservation. I came here with my mom and we ordered many appetizers to share throughout our meal, which I definitely recommend, since there... More

We liked the food. We liked the service. The noise was a little loud when we first came in but we kind of adjusted. We had a couple of appetizers then split and an order of ribs that were delicious. Overall the atmosphere was fun.

Was recommended this restaurant by staff at our hotel - Wow absolutely superb cuisine. Walked past the restaurant as it does not have any signage, however once we had located it were mightily impressed by the décor - a giant Budda overlooks diners. The food was superb and as they encourage you to share two meals among three of us... More

Out of all the restaurants in Philly to choose from, we decided to come to Buddakan as a graduation present for me. My parents had already been here, but I desperately wanted to try what was rumored to be the best Asian food in the city. Nothing about this place disappointed. We made a 5:00 reservation on a Saturday night,... More

Buddakan was suggested as a great place near Center City to have a nice dinner. We loved the Asian influence contemporary décor and the drinks were good. The asian fusion cusine was pretty nice. I had a teriyaki salmon with white fish and wasabi sauce that was outstanding, but the Pad Thai dish was unremarkable. Service was just acceptable. We... More

First of all, giant Budda! Set into a glowing red stage, very dramatic. Dim lighting, candles on tables. House salad delish, dim sum sampler excellent except for weird mush filled packet. The sauce was amazing! Hot and sour scallops for dinner--4 large scallops incredible! 5 out of 5. Veggie fried rice great but coconut foam was weird. Wok cashew chicken-excellent... More

I expected a traditional Chinese restaurant. This is an upscale casual chic restaurant. Some might call it a Chinese fusion restaurant. Interior has low lights, staff dressed in all black, only candles on the tables. There is a continuous background music that seemed too load forcing patrons to talk louder above the noise. There is no separation between the bar... More

Had dinner here on a Friday night. We came early and had drinks at the bar. Bar is not large but drinks were good except for the beer selection. Were seated on time and started with the chicken and ginger dumplings. They were delicious but portions are small so I would not recommend sharting. For my entree I had the Dungeness... More

Visited there while sightseeing in Old City. Lunch was fabulous, especially the crab fried rice, which was served in a real crab shell.
