My daughter and I had a great meal here. Started out with edamame dumplings, which were delicate and creamy and DELICIOUS and also had shrimp bao buns. Yummy!!!! We had amazing black cod with miso as the entree and a coconut cream dessert that was maybe the highlight of the meal. I also recommend the zengria - their take on... More

A quick walk from our hotel. I was with a handicapped woman and they quickly accommodated her needs in a way that made us comfortable. The server carefully explained the menu with opportunities to alter the appetizer to make it easier to change. We ordered duck spring rolls with foie gras; we ordered 4 rather than 3 to make it... The best Korean beef fried rice in the world- I dream about it... Really. The atmosphere is great. The staff are fast and friendly. The food is a journey to the divine...I can't wait to go back..

Buddakan is a part of a group of restaurants managed and I believe owned by the same organization. So great at atmosphere and striving to be inventive but so missing the mark. I guess Asian fusion but tempura batter that was fritter like. Dim sum was delicate but fillings OK. Ordered peppered beef and wasabi mashed. Mashed good sauce on... More

Celebrating our 31st anniversary at Buddakan was a great decision! Appetizers were edamame dumplings, so smooth inside like the texture of mashed potatoes, and general tso dumpling, which the waiter explained to cut before biting as they are so juicy inside, which was excellent advise, and now my new favorite dumpling. Dinner was wok cashew chicken and barbecued pork, both... More

This was our first trip to Philadelphia, and I wanted a restaurant near City Center near our hotel. Buddakan had great reviews, and we were not disappointed. I would literally drive from Baltimore to Philadelphia again just to eat here. One of the memorable meals of the last few years. We started with the dim sum sampler and moved on... More

Near the historic area of Philadelphia and highly enjoyed our lunch. Service was excellent - attentive and respectful of our knowledge and time. For lunch I would recommend the lunch box model where you choose, easier on the decision making process and fun to get the portions. Strongly recommend.

Yes, this is a wonderful place to have dinner. We were there during restaurant week so basically we ordered the full tasting menu. Everything was fantastic, the hostess was polite and seated us quickly (we had a reservation). Our waiter was very attentive and the food was phenomenal. We ordered extras of the Edamame Dumplings they were so good. The... More

OMG! Great service and ambiance but Oh my God the food is overpriced and not good!!!! We ate here a few years ago back in it's heyday. Don't waste your money! Go to Chinatown or Washington Ave. for better tasting and cheap Asian fare! I will certainly not come back again! I do not know what happened to the food... More
