This is first class all the way. Hostess set the friendly tone, waiter was over the top with recommendations and service and the food - WOW

very disapointed. Food is on par with your local take out sushi place. Overpriced / no value. Server was very nice but missed a ton for top priced restaurant in philly.

Another A+ meal at Morimoto. Went with the omakase menu and was not disappointed. Main courses included slices of the wagyu kobe beef and an 8 spice lobster - which was incredible - great oyster course and sushi course as well. As always, the service was absolutely fantastic. Recommend watching where you sit during the winter though. If you sit... More

Splurge for the tasting menu or order anything...and I mean anything because there wasn't a plate placed in front of me or that walked past our table that didn't smell delicious or look amazing. And my tasting menu let me try so many things that I can honestly say there wasn't anything I didn't like. Make morimoto a stop when... More

This place is hands down amazing! The food was absolutely amazing. We had the duck and the yellow tail. What made the night was the service. Our waiter, Raymond, was absolutely amazing! If you go here ask for him!

Omakase and beverage flights. Delicious as always. I would just say that the sake pours were a bit lite.

My hubby took me there for my birthday. It was amazing. It's pricey but every detail is accounted for. Great service , atmosphere, & food.

If expense is no bar, this place has the best cuts and freshest sushi. Tables for two are along the side walls and larger tables are reserved for others, so best for couples to sit at the sushi bar if walls are an issue. Sharp interior of subtle changing lights.

We chose Morimoto for our 'posh nosh' during our 5 night stay at Philly. This place is funky, classy and different. No expense spared, we went for the 8 course tasting menu. All dished were packed with flavour and beautifully presented. Stand outs included the tuna tartare in a dashi stock. Oysters served 4 ways. Spiced half lobster. By the... More

The title refers to the fact that we were sitting at the sushi bar for over an hour with a Tupperware container just off to the left in out line of sight. We didn't pay any attention to it but all of a sudden movement caught my I and I realized that it was filled with greens but also tiny... More
