I came in last Friday with a group of friends. The waiter eventually came over but only took one person's food order and then walked away. I'm at a loss on that one. Aside from that, the food turned out to be quite delightful and the selection of whiskey was great. The bartender was cheerful and gave me plenty of... More

I absolutely love this place! I have always come here for drinks with friends and always will. I have brought fellow Philadelphians and out-of-town guests and everyone has a great time.

Solid casual place for centercity. Its an Irish bar with 5-6 Irish entrees and basic burgers and fries. Everything is a bit heavy and nothing really stands out food wise. But the setting is nice and comfortable and service was very friendly.

The Bards is a great place to go watch soccer or meet some friends after work for a drink. Good draft beer selection and prices, friendly staff, food is okay. Almost always, there's the right amount of people in the bar; enough to give it a good atmosphere but not too much to make it too loud.

Best local bar in the area. Reasonable prices, great beer selection, and bar food that's well above average. Highly recommended.

I have been to the Bards a few times. All good. Their beer choices change and are always good. The food is the real deal. Blood pudding? No problem. Not that I would eat it. But it is true Irish fare. And the service is great. Good prices and food. A really nice small Irish Pub with authentic Irish food... More

I really only come to the Bards for their Happy Hour Specials. The service is great and it is low key for a bar in Center City. The food is okay, nothing to write home about but definitely not terrible. If you are looking for a low key bar with reasonable prices I would come here, especially for happy hour.

Servers Doreen and John were fantastic. Atmosphere was wonderful. Food was uneven at best. Two times we sent back a chicken dish that was RAW in the center. Definitely not something a professional cook would have prepared. Don't order the chicken lollipops!!!

Now that the Bards has a new chef and management team things have really changed there. Very warm and inviting inside. The staff is super friendly. The food is hands down the best Irish in the city. Gorgeous Shepherds Pie, crispy and light fish and chips, and the best burgers in Philly. If you are visiting Philadelphia you dfinitely dont... More
