A group of friends and I decided to try something different and venture to the Marrakesh for dinner. Our party had twelve and they were able to accommodate us with no problem. The restaurant works on two seattings for larger groups: early (6:30) and later (9:00). The staff does a great job giving you the full experience with explanations and... More

This place is amazing , Marrakesh is an authentic Moroccan restaurant. The food here is great and the servers are very friendly. Make sure to bring plenty of room for all seven courses. This is definitely not a place to go if you're in a hurry, so make sure to set aside the evening and take the time to soak... More

So, we went here for a birthday party. The service is excellent, they are on it. The portions are HUGE, go hungry, don't fill up on the bread and first courses, even though the eggplant was ridiculously good. I found it a little odd they lock the door (re fire hazard) but it was a good fun experience, and its... More

I had my birfday dinner here last year... Needless to say, it was pretty awesome. And yes, I know "exotical" is not a real word. It was myself, Boyfriend and another good friend. There is a set menu which, after actually visiting the city of Marrakech, is the absolute norm. Although slightly different, this meal was more delicious than most... More

Our children took us to Marrakesh to celebrate my husband's birthday. What a wonderful and delicious experience! It's a price fixe meal with 7 courses. We were a group of 4 and we were extremely full but managed to sample every dish brought out to us. Our most favorite was a phyllo wrapped chicken dish dusted with powdered sugar. It... More

Go with a group of friends and family that you don't mind "digging into your food" with! Every course is eaten with your fingers - no silverware. And the food is delicious and bountiful. No way will you be hungry after your meal. The service was excellent and we had a super fun night!

You enter a dark place called "restaurant" thinking you are going to have a blast with plenty of authentic "Marrakesh" food in a very clean place. Finding a parking spot was a nightmare. I do not know why the place is so dark. May be so that you cannot see the poor organization of the place and significant lack of... More

While visiting Philly for a musical event and museum experience, I came across a brief review on Marrakesh at the hotel's recommendation book. Prior to being at Marrakesh, I hadn't tried a formal moroccan cuisine except for trying some combination of couscous at Epcot in Florida. Well, I called an hour in advance to make a reservation. I was greeted... More

From the off Marrakesh is a different style of dining experience - you have to knock to be let in, and are then seated at low tables served by couches. The menu is decided upon by the hosts, with choices largely extending to the spicing of the various delicious meats. This might not count for so much, but the food... More

This is one of the best eating experiences I have had! I remembered this place from 30 years ago when I lived in Philly, and it was much better that I even remembered! This is authentic Moroccan dining for one fixed price. The place is small and intimate, so make sure you make a reservation! When you arrive you knock... More
