The Perfect Engagement at Le Bec Fin: Everyone who knows us will agree that we are the ultimate foodies, so a 5 star restaurant turned out to be the ideal place for a proposal. Reservations were made for 7:30 pm. The entrance on Walnut Street in Philadelphia looked like a private club. To enter the outside door a small sign... More

If you are a chef by profession, you might truly take in every morsel of food and savor it. If you are a regular joe like me, you might think its a bit stuffy (I was constantly afraid I was doing something improper!) and drawn out for a dinner. It is more a 'dining experience' than a place to go... More

We went to Le Bec-fin to celebrate a birthday... the decor is very nice and the waiter was very friendly, we ordered a glass of champagne and it was very good, then we went for the pre-fix lunch of 55 (or 45, don't remember the price). Everything was going good, as first course my DH had a salmon tartare (or... More

We went to the restaurant for a celebration lunch. And it was quite an experience! The food was wonderful, the service excellent, and the atmosphere very French, elegant and formal. Lunch is definitely the better deal here, at $54 per person.

Most overrated restaurant I have ever been too. This does not mean it was bad. It is still very good food, but in no way lives up to the hype. I would reccomend going for the prix fix lunch first. This is only around $40 or so compared to being dissappointed to the tune of about $140. Worth the $40,... More

As a person who appreciates fine service and food, I could not stop raving about Le Bec Fin. The experience was simply superb and unforgetable. The $139 six-course dinner was well worth it and who can forget that dessert cart??! Chef Perrier did an outstanding job in the kitchen and I was impressed that he took the time to come... More

If you are in Philadelphia and can afford to spend about $200/person including wine, I can whole heartedly recommend a stop at Le Bec-Fin. Having just returned from France, I was very pleased with how well this restaurant reminded me of some of the fine restaurants in Paris. The food was fantastic, the staff incredible, and the French wine selection... More
