We tried this restaurant out (we were tourists for a week in Philly) recently and enjoyed it. We didn't have a reservation, but were eating on the early side so they had room for us. The seating is interesting with stuffed chairs and couches. The staff was very attentive. The food was really very good. We were in Cuba just... More

Went to Alma de Cuba with colleagues from work in town for a trade show. This place is great, food and service were very good. I had the Octopus Escalivada app and it was very tender and delicious, not rubbery at all.. The Lechon Asado, crispy pork was as good as it gets. One in out group is on a... More

Awesome Cuban style. Miss true Cuban food from FL-but this is very good. Service was amazing & everyone was our waitress/waiter. Manager came to check on us during our meal as well. Drinks, main oncourse & dessert were very enjoyable!

Having married a Cuban, and having a mother-in-law who was the most incredible cook, and having lived in Miami for the first 39 years of my life, I feel somewhat qualified to comment. Good food, well prepared, nice atmosphere, and reasonably priced, but not the 'alma' or 'soul' of Cuba. You will enjoy yourself here and also enjoy a hint... More

We had a great time escaping the hurricane with mojitos. Happy hour had 6 dollar mojitos which were well made. Dinner was followed with ceviche tasting which was the highlight of the night. Scallops were very good for the main. Our server was very nice and accommodating. Add it to your list

We always try to be seated before 7:00 so you have time to absorb the treats. If you enjoy pork Cubano style this is a treat. When you are with a group share multiple appetizers it is worth the adventure...try the lamb neck casabe. The bread and plantains are excellent. The staff are cordial and well informed about the menu.... More

Birthday, anniversary, job promotion, Friday. Whatever the reason to celebrate, I come here. The Marlin Tacos are the hit of the appetizer sampler and the Pernil (Pork Shoulder) is so worth the cost. (It could use some more rice on the side but I still have not finish a plate yet so why complain.) The staff is wonderful and never... More

Returned to Alma di Cuba recently for a family dinner. As usual, they did a nice job with good service and excellent food, but also dealt with a larger group with no issues. A good spot for special occassions.

We were a larger party trying to get a last minute reservation and Alma was nice enough to fit us in by letting us know we were under a time frame before the next table came in. We were fine with this since it was us that was last minute in taking a large group out. Since we knew of... More

The food was excellent and the restaurant has great ambiance. I had a mojito to drink which was very good, and I had the scallops for dinner and they were amazing. It is, however, a little pricey.
