This was our introduction to Cuban "haute cuisine" and we enjoyed it very much. Several of us had different ceviche first courses and they all were superb. Service was excellent and very helpful in explain dishes with which we were not familiar

We went to this restaurant during Restaurant Week. My family was somewhat skeptical because they have never had Latin food before. Surprisingly, we all loved the restaurant, ambiance and service. I had the duck and it looked like a small portion but it was chock full of meat and very flavorfull. The chicken epanades were particularly delicious.

My husband and I went with another couple during the recent Restaurant Week and we were fortunate to be seated upstairs in a corner by the window. My first reaction was "WOW" this is a really attractive, hip place and somehow we scored the best table in the house! We all ordered from the special 3 course menu and were... More

My best friends brought me out for a engagement celebration dinner, and Alma de Cuba did not disappoint! I loved the décor within seconds of walking into the foyer! This was my first Cuban food experience...and it was amazing! We were seating on the 3rd floor and I loved the pictures on the walls. The wait staff was on top... More

Had a fantastic early Saturday meal for two. Two drinks along with Empanada de Verde and Royal Palm Dates to share for starters. These were excellent, artfully plated and plenty for two. Along with our appetizers we received four delicious, petite warm rolls. For entrees we had the honey mustard salmon (cooked to order) and the corn crusted Dorade. My... More

Alma De Cuba is a great restaurant in the heart of Philadelphia. If you know Cuban food, you will also confirm the statement and the fact that they have some very authentic dishes. The staff is extremely accommodating, and we were happy to be able to get a table on a busy Thursday night. Interesting range of cocktails.....the ceviche was... More

On a recent weekend trip to Philly, a friend introduced me to his "favorite restaurant in the city." I am thrilled to report that Alma de Cuba is now also one of my favorite restaurants in Philly. The decor and atmosphere will catch your eye from the moment you enter--very suave. It's a blend of cozy, romantic, and fun, which... More

We went for a post-Christmas family dinner and wow, we had a great meal. Started off with drinks and apps during happy hour, prices were ok and the drinks were well mixed. Had the guacamole, tuna tacos, and empanadas, 4 or 5 mojitos and few red sangrias for $60 tip included. Then, we went upstairs for dinner and were blown... More

My wife and I went here for our anniversary. We came because of the high reviews and were not disappointed. It is a bit pricey, but definitely worth the price when celebrating a special day. The service is top-notch.

My wife and I felt that this was a nice three-floor place. While it was expensive, we knew that going in. However, we ordered the Alma Sampler, which on the menu was described as "2 person minimum, $13 per person", so a $26 sampler, which was a steep price, but we went for it. The surprise was the minimal amount... More
