Splendid food and gracious service, but crowded and noisy

I live in an area well known for Middle Eastern restaurants and grocers, and I can honestly say that the food at Cafe La Maude was much better than anything I've had in my neighborhood. No wonder this place is ranked so high on here. The food is incredible. My favorite food is Lebanese and this place did not disappoint. I tried my friends dishes as well and they were wonderful. The owner is very nice and the service is great. The only thing I did not care for was the type of cheese in... More

Another small place that's constantly moving. And rightfully so! The cuisine for Saturday brunch dipped in and out of both traditional Americana and Lebanese. The food came out relatively quickly, the tables were spaced jjjjust far enough apart, although borderline tight quarters, and the wait staff was good at what they do. The food was very professionally assembled and looked... More

Great food with a French flair. Everything is fresh, tasty and creative. The combination of ingredients is amazingly well done. Seems to attract the No Libs 25-40 crowd. Nice people and a great place to eat. A pleasant alternative to other restaurants on the block.

We stopped in for brunch between Christmas and New Year's. I believe it was a perfect time to go because although it was crowded, we were able to find parking easily. Although it was busy and the place is small, the wait for seating the four of us was short. The owner was very attentive and really makes everything work... More

Check their menu in their site--unusual food & flavor blends. Food presentation above par and excellent coffee. All day bfast. Service was timely and gave recommendations. Owners asked for feedback and chat with us. Nicely decorated and invites to stay. Parking could be challenging but worth the visit.

My husband are in Philly for our honeymoon and we found this recommendation on Trip Advisor. What a gem! It is the perfect symphony of middle eastern and French, with a touch of American. My husband, who is Egyptian, had the foul moudamas... he loved it. I had the Croque Vert....oh. my. Goodness. It was perfect. The ownersare kind, adorable... More

We visited Cafe La Maude on a Friday morning right after Christmas at about 9AM. We were greeted with a smile and seated in a cozy window seat. This was not my first visit, so I was looking forward to having the whitefish salad sandwich I had had once before. Alas, that has been removed from the menu (I am... More

My friends and I were guided here by one of our party who lives but mere blocks away. First keep in mind I am a loyal fan of anything breakfast/brunch. That being said in this area Honey's is it. Well unfortunately that is to change. This hidden gem is gaining beaucoup popularity for good reason. Parking as always is a... More

Just went for the first time, and will definitely be back. The food was amazing and the atmosphere makes you feel like your in Europe. The best part, however, was the fact that the owner was a kind individual who wanted nothing more than to have his diners enjoy their experience.
