I heard a lot of things about this restaurant, so I had a reservation for three at 6:30 pm on Saturday at 6:30 pm. The restaurant is a town house and two floors of seating. We were seated right away in the second floor. The wait stuff should get a lot of kudos because they have to haul food and... More

I always go to Vernick when in Phil. as it truly is one of best. Sadly upon my return this year they had started to charge for grilled bread...$1.00. How annoying when you are spending over $200 for cocktails and dinner for two. It obviously is not the dollar, it is the stupidity of an established restaurant not realizing that... More

I took my husband here to celebrate his birthday dinner. The food was tasty, but the service was very disappointing. We had to wait for a long time to place our order, and after that, our waiter disappeared. We didn't see him again until after our food had arrived. We had long finished our cocktails and wanted to order wine, but... More

Went for our anniversary dinner and was a bit curious as to why it was so crowded at 5pm...but as they say, small quaint places WITH great food always find the best crowd! Lucky that we were, We immediately got the only - empty double seater overlooking the street and was absolutely delighted with the cuisine. It was the most... More

Went as part of college visit, and thought reviews would ensure a nice dinner... Understatement! Excellent service, vibrant atmosphere, entertaining kitchen that produced excellent and abundant food. Toasts delicious and far larger than expected/grilled romaine & tuna poke excellent (clear influence of Jean Georges) / lamb rack & belly amazing (17 yr old foodie very happy!) / Amish chicken delicious.... Food and service was amazing. We didn't have reservations and got on the wait list for the bar. After a 20 minute wait, we got some awesome seats at the bar and had an amazing dinner. Nice wine list too.

I cannot begin to describe how amazing the food is. Try new things. You will love it. Everything is great from atmosphere to service and most especially the food. Best venison I've ever tasted, bar none.

Great for dates, family, friends -- one of the best dining EXPERIENCES around -- and I say "experiences" because this place has it all -- great food, service, atmosphere, and value. Food-wise, presentation & flavors are top notch -- halibut is more halibut-y, sea bass more sea-bass-y, vegetables more vegetable-y, ox tail more ox tail-y. Service is subtle but always... More
