Fine Greek Cuisine, But Far Too Noisy

I met my sister at Opa, because we share a love for Greek Cuisine, and the center-city location was convenient for both of us. Unfortunately, we were initially seated at a table close to the bar. The level of noise coming from that crowded location made it virtually impossible to carry on a... read more

After walking by this restaurant many times and never giving it much thought I finally decided to plan a visit. I am so glad I did! My boyfriend and I used the opportunity to dine there on Dining Out for Life and it was very crowded. We still had great attention from the waitstaff and didn't need to wait for... More

So after a wonderful day at the Art Museum with my boyfriend, we decided we wanted to go for a nice dinner that was affordable. I used my Open Table app on my smartphone (strongly suggest everyone uses this app!) and we scrolled through the restaurants until we saw Opa. We checked the menu and saw the prices were very... Opa is located in a trendy area around 13th Street. It has a very active bar so the noise level is quite high. Most of the food was good - whole roasted fish, lamb chops and spinach croquettes. The Greek salad was mediocre. A bit pricey but this area can be expensive. Very expensive wine list and one has to... More

My wife and I went to Opa before a show, early on a Saturday night and were so happy that we did. We are both fans of Greek food and it came highly recommended from a few of our friends so we decided to give it a shot. The food was terrific, the décor is contemporary and intriguing, and the... Went here for dinner. Their offerings are mostly small plates so expect to share. I don't recommend this place for someone who avoids dairy as it appears in a number of dishes and while they were very forthcoming with that information, they weren't willing to help make the dish dairy-free friendly. Their suggestion was just to get something else. Everything... More

In general, this is a nice place, with good food, and good service. I actually ate here on St. Patrick's Day with my wife and a friend. We all liked our food, and had good service from our waiter. I'm taking a star off for two reasons. First off, they have a very nice patio in back with its own... More

I picked this place for a date night with my husband and it was a great choice. They do have good greek food and the place is really trendy, with a modern decoration and good music. We had the olive tapenade, the calamari and honey ribs, which were all good. The spinach croquettes were such a creative appetizer and just... More

This is right in the middle of 'Midtown Village' and close to the Convention Center, the Marriott and Lowes hotels. It has a very active bar scene after work, but we went for dinner. Everything is shareable and good. > The Greek salad was a good size and a good start > Always LOVE the Saganáki! (and they give you... More

This place was right down the street from my hotel. Very casual greek, but the greek salad with chicken was very good and huge. I ate there twice during my week long stay. Staff was nice, and there were always regulars in the place. I would eat there again.
