Went for dinner on a Friday night. Our reservation was honored and we were immediately seated. The space is small but very congenial, comfortable, noise level was acceptable. The food was great. We like tapas and that is the idea here, sharing. The octopus was excellent, very tender, we also had the fava croquettas which were great and the rice... More

What a great way to dine! Tapas and tapas, taste after taste. We tried 11 dishes among the four of us; two had drinks and two went for the flavor of Tempranillo grapes and red wine. Top of the night: octopus and the meat dish. I'll be back and so will you if ever try it. Great atmosphere and rather... More

This is our first visit to one of Marcie Turney's restaurants and we cannot believe we waited this long. Jamonera was terrific. The atmosphere is rustic and warm. The sangria (we had red) is excellent. Our service was really good. The food--wow. I am not a sharer, but this was the place to do it so you can try everything!... More

I had been walking around Philly's city centre in search of inspiration for my dinner during a business trip, when I stumbled upon "La Jamonera" and something told me that I had found the right place. That something was right! IT was my first time in Philadelphia, I had not expectation about food as I hadn't done any research before... More

Stumbled upon this place and fell in love. Great food. I had the vegetarian paella, every bit as good as what I had in Madrid. Washed it down with white sangria. The staff is friendly and has full menu knowledge. Well paced service. Definitely going back for more.

I visited Jamonera based on Ta and a colleague confirming the quality. Ample menu without being extensive and some excellent specials. The octopus and pigs cheeks were both very tasty. I ate at the bar as on my own and the staff were friendly, helpful and added to the overall experience Would certainly go back and recommend to others.

Fantastic food, great atmosphere and service. Braised short rib was out of this world. Tempranillo by the glass was a fantastic value for the quality of the wine. Space is dimly lit but very cozy. Highly recommended!

The food is perfectly seasoned. Try the lamb ribs and paella. All food ordered was very good and beautifully presented. Not your typical classic Spanish cuisine but a fantastic product.

Went here the other night with a few friends. The tapas were generally excellent! The place is very small and all of the tables were full, so we ate at the bar along with several other customers. The bartender took both our drink and dinner orders and couldn't have been friendlier. it turns out he did forget to order one... More
