Great venue, outstanding meal

It was too cold to sit outside in the garden, but this is a fine old building that lends itself to a stylish restaurant. The bar was small, but efficiently run. We were soon seated and the menu is quite extensive and certainly interesting. I had Bison sweetbreads which were quite delightful and... read more

This is not my first time at this restaurant. This is one of my favorite places in the city. Last night was extra special, so I decided to write in to Trip Advisor and share my experience. Our evening started out at the bar, David was the bartender, he was so friendly and made amazing drinks. We also had a... More

We enjoyed dining at Talula's Garden during our latest visit to Philadelphia (April, 2015). We were thoroughly delighted with the experience. Talula's Garden offers up very fresh and inventive food all sourced locally. In a beautiful setting (an old commercial building) we dined on the freshest ingredients: we started with a Roasted Asparagus Salad and an English Pea Salad and... More

Talula's Garden has a great location on Washington Square. Very good service and very good food. Recommend highly. Our dinner featured seasonal produce and inventive combinations.

Talula's Garden ticks all the boxes for me. The most delicious food in lovely surroundings, with really genuinely friendly and helpful service. My husband and I really enjoyed our evening here. Only sorry we came here on our last night in Philadelphia. Otherwise we would definitely have made a return visit. Was so tempted to try out their tasting menu, but... More

LOVE eating at this restaurant! Our server, Jill was one of the best! So friendly and welcoming, she made our meal experience even better!!! We had brunch on a busy Sunday morning. We ordered the delightful Sweet Little Ricotta Doughnuts! OMG! we could have eaten a dozen of them but we stopped at 6. Then we ordered the Buttermilk Corn... More

The ingredients are not so much selected as curated: everything seemed amazing. I have two regrets: that I don’t live in or near Philadelphia and that I went here on my last day in town for Sunday brunch. If it had been the first day, I don’t think I would have eaten anywhere else. A manager walking by asked me... More

Hubby and I went for a date night dinner and we both agreed it's the best food we've had in Philly so far. Per Yelp recos, we started with a cheese plate (Not Your Granny's) which was...unbelievable. Our waitress asked for our cheese preferences as though it was wine, and described it similarly; hints of rosemary, green apple on the... More

Went to dinner here while visiting Philly after reading all the great reviews about it here on trip advisor. What a unique place! The wait staff was so knowledgeable and helpful. The restaurant itself is almost tucked between two large buildings, but once inside this restaurant it opens up into a nice open space. We were greeted with smiles upon... More

My husband and I took out of town friends here for Sunday brunch. We were a bit early, but seated promptly. Our server was very welcoming and friendly, as well as knowledgeable about the menu. The bialy starter with lox/cream cheese spread was spectacular. The bialys were freshly made and served warm. The cheese plate was delicious and diverse. The... More
