Had a great lunch with the family, but some of the items such as the Brunswick stew were overyly spicy. We had hush puppies and fried green tomatoes for an appetizer. The hush puppies wer over cooked and the fried green tomatoes were cut too thick. The beef brisket was fantastic and the service was very good.

Good BBQ place. The ribs were delicious. There's really nothing to complain about. Over all, it was a very good experience.

We dined at Baby Blues on our last night in University City. All of the restaurants along Sansom Street were great. Baby Blues was no exception. We were there during the UC Dining Days - so 2 of us enjoyed the dining days menu (appetizer, dinner, and dessert for a fixed price). I had the fried green tomatoes - they... More

By chance, the night before eating here in Philly (and the reason we were eating here) we watched Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives and it was all about BBQ/Grilling Restaurants. When I saw there was a Baby Blues BBQ in Venice, Calif. I was surprised having never heard of it and living in L.A. Our friend there in Philly said they... More

Food and service was great. Charming area and restaurant. Loved it. Had the baby back ribs, mac and cheese, pulled pork and brisket. All were excellent. Great dessert too!

This is a relaxed spot to enjoy some true BBQ. My husband is much more infor barbeque than I am, but even I devoured what I ordered (barbecued chicken and sweet potato fries). Different seating areas to choose from and right in the heart of University City.

We were visiting Penn and needed a quick meal. Trip Advisor led us to a great place. Quick seating and even quicker service. Original paintings are a nice touch in the interior. We sampled the ribs, pulled pork, and the MacNow. Everything was tasty. We might stop again before driving home.

Excellent BBQ in a very nice setting. If you like brisket, you have to give this a try. The pulled pork was fantastic!

If you miss the university experience, you have to be here. Great place to enjoy with friends and watch sports events. Nice kitchen, excellent BBQ and pulled pork. Different kinds of beers. Try all ribs. Sweet potato fries are good. Desserts are very good but they don't serve coffee.
