What a great place! Quite small, but on a warm May evening the sidewalk tables helped boost capacity. I was in town on business and happened to get a single seat at the counter, but there was a wait for an actual table. And no wonder--great food, great staff, and modest prices. As others have said, the menu items are... More

Well Jack is adorable and made perfect recommendations. The beet salad should not be missed! And I have never heard of seared gnocchi, and although a major fan of gnocchi, usually it is too heavy and rich. However this was a light sauce and gnocchi perfection. It was relaxed, I had plenty of time to socialize and they paced my... More

Lunched at this happening spot last week while visiting from out of town. Was recommended from family who lives outside Philly. What a yummy destination! I agree with Katrina K I am still thinking about how great it was and wish we had something of the likes here where I live. Visit: 1pm on a week day - we got... More

Went with 2 friends for a birthday luncheon. It was our first time visiting Philadelphia. We usually go to NYC...well..we were so impressed with the freshness and the delicious menu that they provided! We loved the small plates and shared everything. The baby kale and beet salad was outstanding...the antipasti plate was varied and a nice dish to share...the pizza...whatever... More

My daughter and I were in Philadelphia and went for lunch after seeing a picture of their fabulous dessert, Caramel Budino on the cover of WHERE magazine. We shared the Antipasti plate, a selection of roasted beets, grilled asparagus, mozzarella, farro salad and sauteed broccoli rabe. It was very flavorful and generous. We followed with the Pugliese Pizza; a delicate... More

Stepped in this small but bee-hive busy Mediterrean restuarant on a Sunday evening. We sat at the bar and enjoyed hard cider from the tap while watching the cooks engineer the wonderful small plates. Although everything on the menu is small plates, the servings are very ample. Two were max for me. Roasted bone marrow (soak the grilled bread in... More

Went here with a family member who lived in Philadelphia while on a trip to the US. Excellent meal, such that I'm still savouring it 2 weeks on. Thought mediterranean small plates would mean bland food that left you hungry but the complete opposite was found. Succulent skirt steak, fabulous roasted beet salad and a number of other memorable dishes.... More

In Philly for a meeting the next day, a colleague and I went out for dinner, he picked Barbuzzo which I knew nothing about. It turned out to be a small Mediterranean restaurant on 13th and it was excellent. I had the octopus as an entree and wood smoked feta with olive oil for a starter. The prices are low... More

I was in Philadelphia for a huge conference. All week long I was asking people where they had eaten and what they recommended and after several conversations around Barbuzzo, I ate their my last evening (a Tuesday). I called at noon to make a reservation and they only had 5:15 or 7:15 left (so word got out!) - YOU WILL... More
