A friend and I had lunch at Garces Trading Company in their outdoor seating area. We thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of our meals down to the bread that came with them! The service was fantastic, and I cannot wait to go again.

The umbrella tables outside are a welcomed reprieve from walking around Center City. My croque madame was one of the best I have ever had, along side a small deep green, leafy salad and some duck fat fries. The have a small market inside offering among other things, delicious oils and salts, as well as a very approachable wine selection.

A nice restaurant right in the heart of Philly. Try the house specialty, Steak Frites, it's very good. Get a table outside if possible.

This is a sister restaurant to Amada, one of my favorite restaurants in Philadelphia. This was our visit to The Trading Company which the waiter described a more of a bistro style compared to Amada which is tapas. You can buy alcohol here or buy a bottle at the adjoining (small) state store...but pay a $15 corkage fee. Food was... More

had excellent chicken dish (would have liked more carrots, only 2!) and great fun with friends. Yet, it was extremely loud. We had reservations from 8pm-10pm. At 10:15, we were asked to move to the bar to make room for a large party -- they offered to buy us drinks (which was very nice); we were ready to leave and... More

I had to check the other reviews to assure myself I was writing about the same restaurant. We dined with out-of-town friends at Garces Trading Company following a visit to the Barnes Foundation. We sat outside (my guests selected the restaurant as well as the outdoor seating) on Locust Street . . . the roar of the Patco line under... More

I liked the style of the place completely. The food was pretty good also. My only reservation is that the short ribs entree was a little dry, which I never expect from that type of entree. I will say that the accompaniments were great, especially the horseradish polenta. The wines by the glass were also good. And it's always nice... More

I went here for lunch the other day and had an enjoyable meal. The fried egg sandwich was tasty and the ambiance was nice. The quality of the meal was very good for the price and overall I would recommend for a lunch spot.

I went here the other day for a friend's birthday dinner and I definitely wasn't disappointed. I had the most superb steak I have ever eaten in my life! I definitely recommend this place, I just wish the service was a little better.

Last friday, after sitting through a long Commencment ceremony where my nephew received his PhD, the family adjourned to the Garces Trading Company for lunch. The service was wonderful and the selections were out of this world. The wine and beer selection was outstanding with several good local brews on tap. For starters we shared the charcuterie platter and the... More
