Great Evening

Had a Saturday night reservation for 4 of us, at 8pm. Food was delicious (baked cheese! and a pasta dish with jalapeno!), service was great, ambiance was nice, and the mood was great. Our only snag was ordering the bottle of white wine special they had that evening. It was so hot. She had to... read more

Very small and trendy Italian place close to the center of the city, but not in the main tourist/business area. Not a big menu, but great items and a very good service. Baked cheese and braised lamb shoulder were extremely good. Sicilian red wine probably the best Italian wine (for my taste) I ever tried.

A group of 6 of us went to Amis tonight for a business dinner. We entered into a raucous dining room where several parties awaited seating ahead of us - I regard this as a good sign and my group doesn't mind heading to the bar while a table is prepared. We ordered a few cocktails and a plate of... More

Food was OK, and one of dishes, Pea Tortellini with Lamb Ragu, was excellent. But our table was next to horrendous bachelorette party of 10, Sat June 6. Constant shrieks as loud as NYC subway without a break for over an hour. On arrival we had asked to be seated outside, which was quiet and where many others eating, We... More

I have been here for dinner a bunch and I absolutely love it. Today I went for brunch and it was amazing! I got the rigatoni with sausage and my friend got the Belgium waffle. They also brought out the duck bolognese from the kitchen on the house because my friend is there almost every week. All three were fantastic-... More

Went here for a birthday dinner and had a fantastic time. Their waffle nutella dessert was one of the best dessert's I have ever had! The service and food were top notch, and the ambience and atmosphere was also terrific. Would gladly go here again, and would certainly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Philadelphia!

Amis was recommended by a friend who has connections to Philly and we were not disappointed. I've only ever been there for brunch and what impresses me is the quality of the food, the willingness by the kitchen to accommodate any and all food issues (my one friend is vegan), and the constant communication with any member of the wait... We sat outside which was wonderful and enjoyed a several course meal and enjoyed every bite. Our waiter was very knowledgable about the menu and gave wonderful recommendations! Sweat breads, veal tongue and bucatini were our favorites. Skip the polenta side.

My mother, sister and I wanted to eat at one of the Philadelphia Magazine top 50 restaurants and chose this because we could walk from our hotel and because it was one of the Vetri restaurants. We went on Wednesday night and it was crowded so I'm glad we had made a reservation. We ordered the baked pecorino with honey... More

I love the location of this restaurant & its casual atmosphere. And while I had a lovely meal here with family, the consistency of our dishes varied wildly. Some plates were wonderful such as the mixed salumi platter, the grilled veal tongue and fried cauliflower. While others were very disappointing: tuna bruschetta (very dry) and the tortellini in brodo (thin... More
