Delicious meal...

Lovely little restaurant. Cozy. Food was delicious. The Foie Gras (entree) and the Pork Belly were the best. But all the food was good. Service was unpretentious and good. They have a full bar. I took our friends from Southern California last night. The service and atmosphere were excellent. The dishes we had were superb with excellent presentation and sauces. A medley of wonderful flavors and nuance. The corkage fee charged on the weekends for the wine I brought was very reasonable. If you love foie gras, it was an outstanding course and a... More

In Philly for a wedding, we booked Fond for our anniversary the same weekend. It was terrific! We sat up front and watched the world walk by as we enjoyed dinner. The escargot with butternut squash was a particular winner as were the cod and chicken as our main courses. We splurged on cake that came inscribed! Happy Anniversary

The ladies ordered the Matador cocktail and loved them. Guys tried the Southern cocktail was served in a martini glass, Although tasty, both guys agreed it should be in a low ball glass. The food was delicious. Amuse was a hot mushroom soup. The biggest app hits were the paté (generous portion) and lobster risotto (small portion, lots of flavor).... More

This is our special occasion restaurant, since it is rather a distance for us to get there. Fond is a small, cozy place, where you are warmly welcomed by the wonderful staff. We have never had to wait to be seated. We especially love that it is a BYO and therefor, we are able to bring our own special wine... More

First of all service was impeccable! The menu was interesting, especially the appetizers section. Foie gras was excellent and so was the boar pate. A complimentary shot of roasted mushroom soup was a nice surprise. On the other hand, the choices for main dish were somewhat limited. Fish (mahi-mahi) came in absolutely bland which was really disappointing after such a... More

It was Friday night and Fond had a special prix fixe menu to celebrate their (6 year?) anniversary, so we both took that. Everything was wonderful, but the highlights were the wild boar patte; escargot; and pork belly. Every dish was delicious and picture-perfect. Various palate cleansers were offered throughout the experience, which were also excellent. The restaurant is small... More

This is one of the best restaurant-appointed areas of Philly. Fond is a good restaurant judged by their food but their wine list is very limited

We spent our tastiest meal by far in Philly at Fond. The chefs five course tasting meal with accompaniment wines left me stuffed but my taste buds so,so happy. The skate wing and tuna crudo were perfectly done. Every dish was lovely. The restaurant has tables close together np but the noise level was not so loud as in other... More

Every dish was a very pleasant surprise. While we ordered standards such as snails and scallops, their presentation and seasoning was pleasantly unique. We ate at the Culinary Institute of America the previous week and found Fond to be in the same league, which is thin air indeed.
