Great New Years Eve dinner

My wife and I spent New Years Eve at Fond for a late dinner (9:45 pm). The menu was mostly fixed with only 2 options in 5 or 6 courses. We also chose the wine pairing ($30) option. Our food and wine were both incredible, as was the service. Chef Styer did a wonderful job creating a lasting... read more

My wife and I just had our anniversary dinner here and we were extremely happy with our meal. If your looking for a small romantic setting, this is the place. A small menu bursting with flavor, we enjoyed all three courses. The staff at fond, however, was what puts this place over the top. Probably the best, if not one... More

We reserved the "Chefs Table" and had to wait 45 minutes past our reservation. Once we were seated we realized that it wasn't worth the wait. It's not a typical Chefs Table where you get a special meal and attention from the Chef. It's just another table that has a view of the kitchen. We were given the same menu... More

They really need to put that mushroom soup on the menu and offer it in a pint glass! Awesome service provided by G. Shrimp ceviche app was nice. Short rib stroganoff and skate wing entrees were very satisfying. Skate was a tad salty, but it complimented the sweet butternut squash risotto. Pumpkin layer cake was decadent. Make a reservation as... More

The restaurant isn't very big and a little tight on space but the food is big with flavor. Everything tasted outstanding, there wasn't anything that I wouldn't want to try again. We had a taste of mushroom soup, I wish I could have ordered a bucket full of that, fantastic. Had the Skate which I hadn't seen on a menu... More

One of the BEST French/American restaurants in Philly! I think about returning more often than my wallet could handle. A restaurant every diner should experience. Parking: $8.00 for valet in the area for a few restaurants in that street corner Otherwise you may be able to score a parking spot for free or with a meter. Food: Outstanding. Excellent. Flavor... I thought this place was great, but somehow just not all that memorable. We both ordered the Matador, which was a margarita made with Cabo Wabo Tequila and passion fruit purée. Simply best drink I have ever had in my life. Huge props to the bartender. For appetizer we had oysters, which typically I love, but these tasted very fishy... More

Squirreled off the square on Passyunk Avenue, this little spot has a bar, window walls that open on a nice day and the quality food that will make you want to come back. SO WE DID! :) DJ

Second time here and it was as good as the first. The waiters and waitstaff are some of the best you will experience. On this night it was Tory and Mike. I have to say early on if you are visiting Philadelphia you have to consider a visit to one of the many restaurants on and near East Passyunk Ave.... More
