I thought this place was great, but somehow just not all that memorable. We both ordered the Matador, which was a margarita made with Cabo Wabo Tequila and passion fruit purée. Simply best drink I have ever had in my life. Huge props to the bartender. For appetizer we had oysters, which typically I love, but these tasted very fishy... More

Squirreled off the square on Passyunk Avenue, this little spot has a bar, window walls that open on a nice day and the quality food that will make you want to come back. SO WE DID! :) DJ

Second time here and it was as good as the first. The waiters and waitstaff are some of the best you will experience. On this night it was Tory and Mike. I have to say early on if you are visiting Philadelphia you have to consider a visit to one of the many restaurants on and near East Passyunk Ave.... More

We stopped in for an appetizer and a drink. We sat at the bar and chatted with the friendly staff. Beautifully presented dish, we will return for a full meal. Our picture says it all!

Enjoyed dinner last night - nice atmosphere - warm service - exceptionally well prepared food. Really small menu - soft shell crabs was a special - we had a 8PM reservation - by the time we sat down and ordered guess what they were out of. Valet parking a big plus.

We did the 7 course tasting menu, even though it was East Passyunk Restaurant Week. It was one of the best meals I have ever had. The food was incredible & to die for. I would go back here in a heartbeat. The staff was fantastic too, from the owner to the waiters. We were even asked if we wanted... More

I had a layover in Philadelphia and was flying back to Montreal in a couple of hours, so I decided to dine here, as it is listed as one of the top 3 restaurants in Philadelphia. I walked in and immediately noticed the classy decor, cool and relaxed ambiance accentuated by the smooth soul music playing in the background, and... More

I loved everything I tried. We sat outside and enjoyed the local neighborhood. The oysters were fresh and crisp. The part was delicious, light and the mustard was excellent. The filet was cooked perfectly. I would highly recommend this place.

Fond is absolutely amazing. Our party of 4 was lucky enough to sit in the back next to the kitchen at this wonderful giant wooden table. If you can, request this table in advance with a large party. It was a great private experience, and you can see the kitchen at the same time.

Fond is a corner restaurant tucked into a busy area of South Philadelphia. There is very inexpensive valet parking ($8) available. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly. The bar area is cozy and apparently some of the specialty drinks are creations of the bartender. The food choices are limited. However, the food is excellently prepared with interesting flavors. The scallops... More
