This is a sweet gem in Philly's chinatown. the place is Clean!!!!!!! and the food is delicious. I am Chinese and have eaten soup Dumplings all over the world and let me tell you this is as good as it gets. they also have other authentic Shanghai dishes like drunken chicken, been there multiple times and never disappointed. highly recommend... Good place to eat in Chinatown, particularly if you are at the convention center. Great bubble tea, I got the strawberry and loved it. Good thikness. Some places make it like a shake, others like milk..this is the latter. The menu features both Japanese and Chinese cuisines. I got the diced chicken with peppers. It came with rice. The chicken... Visited Sakura for a Chinese New Year lunch at noon on Sunday, Jan 22. We got in with no reservation, but by 12:30 there was a line at the door. The restaurant is on the corner of Race and 11th, and so with two walls of windows and tables elevated above street level it has a brighter feel than some... More

Both the Chinese and Japanese selections are solid here. The juicy buns are always great and I've had some really nice sushi rolls here too. The staff is friendly and attentive and the price is right.

This is definitely a solid choice if you need your fix of juicy buns - they do pork and pork and crab. I really like the staff here, they are attentive, friendly, and keep filling your water glass! As far as the other choices, we stick with the chinese dishes and stay away from the sushi. I've eaten here multiple... More

I ate here with my 12 year old son and 9 year old daughter on a Saturday in November. It was crowded so the service was a bit slow to start but picked up as the meal went on. We started with their specialty - soup dumplings. They were very good, once you figure out that the soup inside the... More

We had soup dumplings in Chinatown in New York in March and loved them...but haven't been able to find them close to home. My sons literally jumped with excitement when they saw the soup dumpling photo in Sakura's window. We ordered 4 servings of them, as well as miso soup, wonton soup, sushi, seaweed salad, chicken lo mein, and eggplant... More
