The Thursday evening I was here, the place was packed. An acoustic guitarist could barely be heard...That being said the place had a lot of character, good food and an excellent beer list. I would definitely recommend.

This pub has a great location in Center City Philadelphia, across the street from City Hall. The layout is classic Irish Pub with dark wood and several large and convenient bars. Lots of TV's show sports year round but the highlights are the live broadcasts of GAA Hurling and Gaelic Football games during the All Ireland series. The games draw... More

In center city Philadelphia, Tir Na Nog has an odd name yes but the food was very good and the atmosphere what you might expect for an Irish Pub. Dark wood paneling with signs pointing to Irish sounding locations and, oh yes, dozens of beer choices with many on tap to choose from. I went between 6 and 8 PM... More

We were recommended this restaurant by the concierge of our hotel on Labor Day weekend, so we came by for dinner after checking the menu online and seeing some things we liked. We left within 10 minutes of being seated. They had a "special menu" for Labor Day weekend, which basically consisted of an incredibly stripped down version of the... More

A great bar with tons of space and a low key attitude. The draft selection is very good and covers all the Irish standbys and some craft choices too. The burgers are very good, huge and juicy, and I liked the fries as well. The staff was friendly though a bit slow. Perfect place to catch a soccer game or... More

Friendly, genuinely Irish bartenders and good pub grub, among the offerings. Lively end-of-workday crowd. Beautiful and huge re-creation of authentic Irish Pub.

They have really good music during the week and at the weekend. Staff and management are friendly. Guinness and food are good.

It looked fairly upscale, but we wondered why we were the only customers on a beautiful May afternoon. It turned out to be the worst dive my wife and have visited in years. We ordered a lamb pie lunch and a cup of coffee. The "lamb" in the lamb pie smelled and looked like crumbly dog food. The "coffee" was... More

I've been to the Tir Na Nog a few times for happy hour and it is always the same-- crowded, frenzied wait staff, lots of conversation and laughing in the air. I like it here. They have a decent beer selection and standard Irish whiskeys.

We were there around lunch time, just after they started serving lunch. Very thin and light crowd for a cold saturday afternoon. My Caesar salad was decent sized but lacking in a few pieces such as tomatoes and onions (but i don't get them on my salads anyway) and had the freshest lettuce i have ever had in a restaurant....
