WOW!!!

First time and we were blown away. Don't let french food intimidate you if you have never had it. If you have, this restaurant is one of the best, PERIOD. While I was planning my recent trip to Philadelphia, I decided that since I was going to be visiting the Barnes and the Rodin museums I would complete my immersion in French culture with a visit to a Parisian style bistro. Unfortunately, my trip was taking place on a Monday and most of my choices were closed. It was providential... More

Quelle grande cuisine! Truly a gem in the heart of Philadelphia. The food lives you breathless and the wine only serves to revive you. Extremely well priced and the house white and house reds are simply great wines. The lamb, the beef, the rabbit... Every dish is just incredible. And the service is simply elegant. I loved this place and... More

The food and service at Bistrot La Minette outshine its atmosphere, which is not meant as a negative. The first 2 are very strong, the last OK, pleasant but nothing fantastic. However, the whole place is authentic "French" and you might imagine yourself in Paris given the high quality escargots, rabbit, and other fine meat and fish offerings. The bread... More

My positive impression of this restaurant began when I called to make a reservation. The person with whom I spoke was helpful, friendly, and good-natured. As it turned out, that person ended up being our waiter for the evening. We ate rather early on a Monday evening, so it was quiet when we arrived, but by the time we left,... More

We ate here a few years ago and enjoyed it but had sort of forgotten about it. Our daughter and her husband wanted to eat here while they were home visiting for the Thanksgiving weekend. We all loved our meal and the experience. The atmosphere and the food are authentically French. Our daughter is a vegetarian and she had several... More

The atmosphere was very authentic as well as the food and all four of us would enjoy coming back again even though it was not geographically convenient for us. I am a big foie gras foodie and the dish that they served lived up to my expectations.

It was a girlfriend's weekend for us but my friend also wanted to take me out for a belated birthday dinner. She's more of a foodie than I am so I let her do her research and find a restaurant. Bistro La Minette was it, and were we happy it was. Fabulous food from our plate of escargot to our... More

One of the best French restaurant values in the city. From the warm baguette, to the oysters to the duck confit, it was a true taste sensation. Polite and attentive waitstaff helped make the evening enjoyable. Conversation was easy, even when the room was full on a busy Saturday night. The diverse menu offered lamb, duck, rabbit and fish all... More
