Fresh and flavorful

I love French food and Bistrot La Minette did not did disappoint. Like most French restaurants their house wine was reasonable and rather good. The tartare was fresh and had an excellent flavor, more than usual for tartare. The scallops were excellent - tender and caramelized - in a bed of asparagus. It was the best that I had in... More

We went during Restaurant Week, and I was so fortunate to be able to taste three of everything! The menu was varied. For appetizers, we had steak tartare, which was tender and delicious. The escargot were so different, each one in a small round container filled with garlic butter and topped with a small crouton. The bread was house made... More

Let me start by going out on a limb and say that Bistrot La Minette is one of the best restaurants in Philadelphia, if not one of the best casual French bistros in the United States. We ate here during Philadelphia restaurant week and unlike some other restaurants they presented a bold menu, not a watered down version of their... More

Omg. What a delightful slice of France perched in center city Philadelphia. We had a broad sampling from the menu....steak tartare, tarte Provençal, roast chicken, escargots, foie gras...the works. All superb. Chef Bush and his talented team are magicians ! Fantastic home made bread, too. You cannot miss here. Great, reasonably priced wine list. This IS currently the best French... More

Overall we enjoyed this restaurant. Clean, comfortable, nice decor, friendly service. The mussels and rabbit dish were both incredible, and would order again in a heartbeat. Unfortunately the duck dish was dry and unmemorable.

I had to write another review about this wonderful French bistro. One of the nice things that they do periodically is have special dinners based on the regions of France. Of course on Bastille Day they offer a special provencal menu every year that is superb. From the vichyssoise soup to the wonderful Provencal buffet and the entrees and desserts... More

Bistrot La Minette is serves fantastic food in a bistro setting in the heart of Philadelphia. Every dish we tried was perfectly prepared and absolutely delicious. The service was prompt and professional. The atmosphere is casual and the prices are reasonable, considering the quality of the food presented. If you are looking for fine French dining without the formality, this... More

A tiny restaurant on a side street, Minette's has outdoor seating as well as tables in the long, narrow restaurant. We called the day we wanted to eat and had no difficulty getting an early-evening reservation, though the place did fill up quickly thereafter. Our greeter was friendly; the waiter knew the menu well and the menu itself had only... More

Classics with a twist, professional service and lovely decor. Don't miss the tarragon mussel/egg appetizer and the mille feuille raspberry dessert. Restaurant Week menu is a steal.
