Mother's day dinner was absolutely wonderful! From appetizers to dessert simply perfection.our waiter, Ricky, was very attentive, but not annoying. Can't wait to return! Kudos to Butcher and Singer.

My husband and I have dined in every steak house in Philly as well as many famous steakhouses throughout the US. In Philadelphia this tops our list at #1. The quality of meat and flavor is always on point and we have never had a bad meal or experience. We now come here to celebrate our anniversary. It's dark and... More

From the moment you enter, you know this will be a remarkable experience. The room is majestic...lofty high ceilings with marble and mahogany wood columns. Dimly lit. Waiters in tuxedos. We were ushered to a table along the wall and I was seated on a velvet couch. Not a bad way to start a luxurious dinner. Service was impeccable. Our... More

My friends and I had wanted to try Butcher & Singer for some time now. We had the chance to experience it last night and it is now at the top of my list. There is an initiate dining room with comfortable chairs and a classic chophouse atmosphere with a classy feel. Our waiter, Rick, was amazing and helped us... More

The food lives up to the impressive interior but they should tone down the sales pitch a bit. I had the New York Strip and it was delicious, seasoned and cooked just the way I asked for it. I could not eat all the recommended sides so be selective and don't be over influenced by your waiters long sales pitch... More

I came here with a friend the weekend of my birthday. She LOVES B&S. We sat in the bar area on a little canapé to the right of the entrance and out of the cold. I had the raw tuna app - good, she had a filet. We shared some sides - Brussels sprouts and French fries. It is sort... More

The restaurant is beautiful and elegant there is no denying that, however that's where the accolades stop. The menu is small, very simple and extremely expensive, so you'd think they'd get it right. Alas no - the Swordfish ordered medium rare came out very well done and was a small portion for the @$40 it cost. The aged porterhouse was... More

In town last minute. Luckily got a reservation here with a suggestion and phone call from our hotel concierge. It was a Saturday night and dinner was superb and they seated us promptly at our appointed time...so few establishments do anymore. I had the oysters, wow, and a salad and Filet Mignon. All were perfect. My husband had the Strip... More

The steak was amazing. My wife ordered a wedge salad and lump crab which she said were fine. I ordered the strip and a beer. If you stick with what they're known for you can't go wrong!

We took our friends for a nice dinner in February. Little celebration. However, we have started with waiting 35 minutes although made a reservation way ahead. This is a classic steak house. The restaurant is beautiful and has a really nice ambiance. Service was good but certainly not exceptional. There are certainly long periods of time before you are checked... More
