Restaurant week visit.

Totally worth to try it out on restaurant week. We were seated at our reservation time. Our waiter- Brian- was very attentive. The three courses came out one right after the other.

We dined her last night during restaurant week so my expectations were not high. The place was packed and it was a fixed menu. I expect our wait staff to be hurried and the food to be good but not great. I was wrong. Our waiter was a pure pro, attentive and friendly but not aggressive like some other steakhouse... More

We chose Butcher and Singer for dinner because it was one of the few steak houses that we had not been to in Philadelphia. The first thing that struck me was how dark the restaurant was as I tried to read the menu. They were numerous staff standing around the front so we were seated quickly. Our disappointment came with... More

I was told this was an upscale restaurant, but the service and food exceeded my expectations. We took advantage of Restaurant Week specials to try this restaurant and I'm glad we did. Service was courteous, prompt, friendly, and competent. I had probably the best sirloin steak of my life that just melted in my mouth. The sides were exceptional. The... More

We decided to try it for restaurant week. We loved the oysters Rockefeller and our salad we had as an appetizer. The steak was cooked to perfection, the sides that came with it not so great( the green beans were very salty). We finished up with amazing deserts( the chocolate one was to die for). The service was impeccable even... More

Service and ambience was outstanding. We stopped here after show at the Academy and it was only a few short blocks. Steak was a 10 but potatoes were not quite steakhouse quality (a little too watery). Calamari was very good but the tomato-based sauce did not compliment well. Drinks were good and a bartender was very attentive.

This was a great surprise for us during a recent trip to Philly. The first night we stopped by for some drinks and appetizers and were pleasantly surprised. Despite how busy the restaurant and bar were that night, the bartenders were very personable and helpful. We stopped by the next night for a night cap and then on the third... More

I have been wanting to dine here since moving back to PHL from San Fran a few years ago. I took the opportunity of my wife's birthday recently to do so. My three stars are for the level of food quality and value for the dollar. And I must add, coupled with very high expectations based on reviews and the... More

It is truly rare when you pay big money for a dining experience and walk away feeling that it was worth every penny. From the kind "hello" when I called to confirm our reservation for 4, to Brandy's "will there be anything else" at the end of the evening, the experience was just as it should be. Pairing 3 west...
