Dinner during restaurant week. Food good, not great. I thought the steak was a little salty. The restaurant is an old bank building--this is the third steakhouse I have been to in Philly, and all three were in old bank buildings....interesting and lovely. Service was good but certainly not exceptional. I expected the wait staff to be much more attentive... More

We heard that butcher and singer had the best burger in Philly so we walked from the The Barnes Museum to have lunch. It is located in a nice shopping area 15 th and Walnut. We ordered a California wine and a beer to sit and enjoy the lovely atmosphere. The waiter was excellent and was very happy to explain... More

Very nice bar Resturant with valet parking for those driving. Small bar to the left in this lofty space. Very good pork chop and steak tartar. Service at the bar worked for me.

If you like steak or seafood this is one of the places to go to. The service and the staff were very good. We were warned when ordering side dishes that they were for sharing! so much so we ended up with food to take home. the steaks were very tasty and cooked as I wanted it. An excellent varied... More

Butcher and Singer belongs to a varied group of restaurant in Philly. Housed in what I believe is an old bank, the interior is rich, old school opulence. This is the place that meat eaters congregate. There are times when diners should accept the specials and go with the flow. My wife and I shared a crab cake to start... More

We were debating between Butcher & Singer and a few of the other outstanding steakhouses in the area for dinner but I'm very happy we chose Butcher & Singer. We had dinner here on a Sunday night and enjoyed the prime rib for 2 along with multiple sides (the hash browns were a standout), all which were more than big... More

I love the interior of this restaurant. Many years ago it use to be a very stately bank. As you look around you can still see characteristics of a bank and yet it is a sophisticated ambience for those who like an upscale atmosphere. I have been to Butcher & Singer before and have never been disappointed. I agree with... More
