Just a quick review for those who happen to be in or near Philly. We happened to be in town for a wedding and needed a quick bite. We walked down the street from our hotel (Penn's View - charming!) and happened upon the "happy hour" at PRIVE (246 Market St). Everything was half price so we decided to sample... More

The server was good and she explained the menu really well. The chef is where my problems are: The lamb lollypop was out of the world and I expected things to get really better. But, the mahi mahi, I ordered was really really salty. So, they took it back and gave me a base that was just perfect.. But, this... More

We have been here a number of times. We like to order tapas style and get a number of apps to share so we have tasted a lot of the menu (if you go during happy hour there are 1/2 price apps in the bar!). on our recent visit, there were 4 of us and the food was again very... More

We were checking out restaurants for dinner on a recent trip to Philadelphia, walking down Market Street. The Mediterranean menu at Prive seemed quite appealing, and a discount coupon offered at the door by a friendly face probably sealed the deal. What an imaginative, beautifully prepared and presented, and delicious menu! You may want to try your own dishes--a mixture... More

Excellent meal, good service and beautiful atmosphere. Try the short rib entree or the burger and the beet appetizer. The Desserts were very tasty, we had the chocolate trio. Specialty drinks were good as well. Our server was very helpful as well.

We were a party of 4 on a Saturday night. Only 4 tables were seated in the area we were in. The space was elegant with a very relaxed atmosphere. We are all well familiar with and enjoy tapas-style dining. Food was sent out rather sporadically- wait staff was extremely confused and twice tried to deliver dishes we did not... More

I live in Philadelphia and eat out quite often. My friends and I decided to try this place since it was new and the previous reviews were very good. Overall the experience was OK but disappointing. It started off good being greated by the host and having our coats checked for us. The waitress was friendly and our drinks came... More

Great new place to dine in old city. the food was simply amazing. somewhat a spin off of traditional plates you would normally get in other restaurants. service was above average. the atmosphere was amazing. really puts you in a different city when you dine here. would go back again.

We ate at Prive on Thurs., Oct. 16. We had an excellent experience. There weren’t many other diners there as we had a late dinner. I would highly recommend the Beef Short Rib Stuffed Peppers and the Figs and Prosciutto Salata. Both were recommendations from our waiter, Jesse. The Braised Rabbit Risotto was also very good, but very rich. Sautéed... More
