Outstanding Salad Bar

You would not necessarily expect to find such an extensive salad bar filled with unique items in a steak house, but Chima's is really excellent. For the carnivores, they bring meat to the table which they carve for you. We were there during a quiet time so did not have any service issues.

My husband and I went to try something new. We have been to Fogo De Chao in Baltimore and had a fantastic experience there as well. I was a little worried that we wouldn't have a good time because of the reviews, but learned that some things you just have to experience yourself. We had a great night. We were... More

My family and I ate at Chima in Philadelphia for my grandfathers 87th Birthday! We were a party of 10. When we arrived we had to wait about 10 minutes as they prepared the table ( we had booked this 5 weeks in advance). We were placed in the back room. Once all seated we waited and waited for a... We ate at this restaurant on February 15, 2015. We had 4:15 reservations and were seated promptly at that time, even though there was a large crowd waiting to be seated. I was pleased that this was the case. There were many good choices of meats, including lamb, various kinds of steak, chicken, salmon, swordfish, pork ribs and sausage, all... More

It is Valentine's Day at 3:56 p.m. I was just called 20 minutes ago by the Philadelphia location notifying me about my 4:45 p.m. reservation which I have made 2.5 weeks ago. I confirmed. And then the reservationist went on to tell me that it was mandatory that I pay 89.95 per meal which I was NEVER notified of. After... More

We have recently moved to the Philly area. Had Brazilian in our old digs, so we were testing this place out. Love it. The salad bar is simply scrumptious. The choices of meat is fantastic. They will even serve you how you want it cooked (becomes more rare as they take slices off). At one point service slowed down. Once... More

Went here for Restaurant Week for $35 a person and it was amazing. Loved all of the food and the salad bar. I'm not sure I'd pay regular price though of $55 per person. I would definitely do this again for the price of Restaurant Week.

My sig other & I had a fun fun birthday celebration for his 60th. The salad bar is full of mouthwatering options, highlights including prosciutto, calamari salad, quinoa salad, & marinated artichokes. Sides of polenta, potatoes, & fried bananas arrive at the table and THEN, the endless parade of succulent meats! Sirloin, filet mignon, lamb, chicken, sausages keep coming &... More

Delicious salad-bar, but for the prices they have, the meats are not that good. We didn't get to try all on their list, even though we asked for it, it never came, so don't get fooled by the extensive list. Two of the wines we wanted were sold out - they have an electronic wine list, so it should've been... More

We have dined at Chima frequently, and just returned from an evening there during restaurant week. Never again. Firstly, if you want the entire selection of meats, you must pay extra ($59 instead of the $35 restaurant week price). I think we may have seen 6 cuts of meat during our visit, instead of the 15 promised. The meat was... More
