A really nice find

After exploring this area of Philly known as Fishtown, we made our way over to the Memphis Taproom. Our bartender/waitress was awesome, really friendly. Service was quick. Salmon BLT (special) was good, but the bacon was way, way too salty. Smoked Coconut Club was amazing. Fries are... read more

We are Philadelphia foodies and love to try new places in the city. So what took so long to get to Memphis Taproom, I have no idea. One thing for sure, we will certainly be back. This venue is "off the beaten path," when it comes to the city's "hotspots." If you live in the Frankford/Kensington/Fishtown area of the city... More

This place is legendary in the Fishtown neighborhood. I believe it was also featured on a Food Network show. I am always wary of restaurants with that high of a reputation. However, this restaurant deserves its reputation. It consistently offers innovative cuisine, especially for vegetarians. The beer selection is always diverse. I personally love sour beers, and they always seem... More

I had not been to the Memphis Taproom in about a year. My buddy and I went. Still the best burgers. And we've been looking for a comparable. And the beer is the best. Not too many places have cask beer. But it's here. And it's good. How good you ask? Really good. So why don't I come here more... More

I ordered the fried pickles, which I usually LOVE anywhere I go but they were beer battered and it was WAY too thick. Then I made the mistake of ordering the special. Fish & Chips. Also, WAY OVER BATTERED. My boyfriend got the Memphis burger, which was good. So we may give it another try. But no battered anything for... More

We started with suicide onion rings and fried pickles. Both were excellent!!!!! Two of us had cheeseburgers and fries. Two had french toast with peanut brittle butter and cranberry rum syrup. Everything was excellent. I also had a beer mimosa. Different but good. The service was also excellent. There were two young ladies. One was named Julianna. Unfortunately, we did... More

Initially I thought the Memphis Tap Room was somehow connected to Memphis, TN near where I live. Instead, it is named for the street it is on. In addition to beers (a nice selection), Memphis Tap Room has a great selection on pub food; appetizers, burgers and sandwiches, entrees, and desserts. The atmosphere is laid back and comfortable. A great... More

I live in the neighborhood and walk here often. They have a nice selection of local beer and a great menu. They also brew their own so that was fun too. There is an outdoor beirgarden in the lot next door where you can get beer cans and eat from a food truck and hand out at some picnic tables.... More

Not only was the food and beer great, the staff went above and beyond. We came to the restaurant due to Diners, Drive Ins, and Dives. We needed a restaurant that was handicapped accessable for a wheelchair. I called and asked. I was told that they due to the age of the building the were not accessable but they would... More

I love this bar/restaurant for many reasons, but the top reason is: vegan options. With an "s" as in plural. Not one, not two, but many. There are ALSO options my non-vegan hubby enjoys. Each time we are here, we both try something new. Food is served hot and tastes so good.
