we recently went to the restaurant and was not impressed. The waitress never asked if we were there before and tried to steer us from the restaurant week menu. when we told her we were sticking to that menu she tried to get me to order the $177.00 bottle of wine. when we didn't want that she went through the... We ordered the tasting menu where we could taste a little bit of every dish on the menu. The experience took us through an unbelievable middle eastern cuisine. The staff was awesome and the service was great. Can't wait to go again.

Do yourself a favor and go with the taste of Zahav tasting menu. My wife and I selected many different tapas, each creative and delicious. Pass on the fried cauliflower and choose items slightly out of your comfort zone. Highlighted dishes included the Pastilla, Beef Stew and Duck Kebab. Service and presentations also A+, especially on a busy New Years... More

My friends and I booked a late dinner reservation on New Year's Eve and were delighted with the tasting menu. Friendly, gracious service and delicious food made the evening truly special. Can't wait to visit again.

Every year around Christmas time, my family and I (cousins and siblings) and dear husband would get all "dolled up" pick and choose a restaurant to splurge on and this year was Zahav! The restaurant was not too big and not too small. Very nice decor and the played R&B, Rock, and 80s music, which was very nice and different.... More

Friends made sure to make a reservation at Zahav two months before New Year's Eve because they said it's "the BEST restaurant in Philly" and we HAD to go there! My husband agreed that this was the "best dinner he's ever had!" Neither of us was familiar with the menu choices but it didn't matter...with a table of six, and... More

This is amazing food -- not cheap -- but worth visiting Philadelphia just to go to this restaurant in the historic Society Hill area (downtown Philadelphia). I am from Philadelphia, but haven't been back for several years. I am so proud this restaurant is in Philly!!!

Zahav is by far one of the best restaurants in Philadelphia. It has a wonderful location and beautiful ambiance. The food is really beyond compare. Most of it was unlike anything else we've had locally. Even the familiar items were presented in a way that was unique. We went with the mid level priced fix menu which gave our party... More

We were in Philly for a weekend from Boston. Two spoiled foodies in search of yammi goodness. After thorough research we settled on Zahav. From the start, the service was fantastic, drinks offered while we waited for a bar seat (no tables were available). We didn't have to wait long, the menu is not extensive but has really good variety.... More
