We have gone there many times and have never been unhappy. The variety of small portions is great for grazers like us

Brought my boyfriend and 86 year old grandmother for dinner at Zahav and had a grand time! First, service was lovely. We had a 5:45 reservation but arrived early after wandering around the city. I asked if they had any earlier availability and they accommodated with no problem. My grandmother wanted a glass of wine, but was unsure of which... More

The food was amazing as were the very innovative cocktails. There were 4 of us and we all ordered diferent items so we could taste everything. The desserts were great especially the vanilla custard. Hard to get reservations but so worth the time. I would recommend it to tourists and locals.

Opening Remarks -Chef Michael Solomonov and his partner, Steven Cook opened Zahav in 2009. -Zahav, when translated from Hebrew, means Gold, which pretty much sums up the restaurant’s impact on Philadelphia’s glowing food scene. -I actually saw Zahav featured on the Cooking Channel’s Unique Eats and I was craving its Middle Eastern delights ever since. Ambiance -The high ceilings, Middle... More

My boyfriend and I spent 2 nights in Philadelphia - due to our time limitations and the fact we love good food, I did quite a lot of research prior to leaving. Even booking several weeks in advance, for a Monday night, we could only get 5:30 or 8:30! We didn't realise but we went during food week which meant... More

Reviews of this restaurant made it all the way to NYmag Grub Street where I read about it. I was so anxious to dine here and it definitely surpassed my expectations. The venue is very tastefully designed and the food is exceptional - even the drink selections at the bar were a delicious surprise. Realizing that restaurants don't really have... More

This restaurant is fantastic all around! My wife and I are foodies and went based on the reviews on here and Yelp. The food was absolutely delicious. You can tell they put thought into what try prepare and how they serve it. We had the Taste of Zahav so we could try a bit of everything. Plenty of food and... More

Ambiance is ok. Walking into the main dining room/bar, it could be anywhere. The side room we were in had some regional flare, but I could not tell what made the decor Israeli. We went with 3 mezze to try the menu. I am not a fan of mezze type places bc it seems that they kitchen does want to... More
