This is a small plate restaurant with a focus on sharing. so one person will not have the same experience as two or more . Interesting and creative take on food that you might find in a Jerusalem restaurant. You start with small plates that the restaurant selects --again a la many nicer Israeli restaurants. The food was very good... More

My wife and I went to Zahav for the first time and enjoyed our bar service and happy hour half price hummus. We tried two different ones and each were equally tasty. We also had reservations and sat for a few dishes at a table. The best tapa we had sitting was the smoked white fish on challah, but I... More

Had never eaten at a restaurant described as "Israeli" before, but went for a business dinner. The service was excellent. The menu was a bit confusing at first, but our waiter helped explain each section, recommend numbers of plates and portion sizes. Most of the options were what i would call "Mediterranean" and familiar to Greek food tastes with a... More

This restaurant was awesome. From the ambience which is so romantic, yet casual to the service to the food We ordered the prefix dinners and left very delighted and full. Everyone who was serving us was friendly and always on top of everything- from clearing the plates to refilling our water glasses. Everything was really good- especially the fried cauliflower... After sightseeing, managed to get a last-minute reservation and since they don’t have a dress code, we were able to drop in for dinner in shorts, casual shirts and sandals. We did the price-fixe "Tayim" menu for $39 per person. It is re-imagined Israeli / middle-eastern food. Most of the dishes were good in taste, presentation, and creativity. I have... More

Every trip to Zahav is a treat. So much variety and surprising flavors. The tasting menu combos are a great way to try many small bites, especially if you mix it up with you dinner partners. There are several hummus options that serve with a warm, authentic flatbread that's to die for.

You do not have to be Israeli to enjoy Zahav! This rather large and loud restaurant near liberty bell serves up a lovely collection of mezze and salads before they treat You to the most succulent lamb with pomegranates imaginable! For a VERY affordable price. I myself is known as the Glutton of the North and could NO WAY finish... More

My daughter highly recommended this place. She made reservations for us 2 weeks ago. Now I know why. Go as a group and try their tasting menu. They bring out course after course. The highlight is the shoulder of lamb. It is so tender and moist. The food was a amazing and a must for foodies. We were seated in... More

We went with another couple for dinner. At first glance, the menu is very confusing, but our waitress was very excited to explain to us what everything was. We ended up doing a tasting menu and each selected 2 small plates and one big. That combined with the humus and salad starters from the tasting menu was a lot of... More
