Went here with a group of freinds while visiting the city. Although the food may be different for some it is absolutely fantastic. Many plates such as the raw veal i had never had before blew past my expectations. Service was five star as well.

For a couple of years I thought this restaurant was a no-go for me - I'm vegetarian and one of the friends I would go with is highly allergic to legumes and nuts. Closer inspection of the menu gave us hope, so we went for my birthday dinner and we were all blown away. It was fantastic, from the attentive... More

We decided to stop by Zahav restaurant after reading fantastic reviews in the urbanspoon.com website. To be honest we were really excited to eat there after our most recent trip to Israel and because both of us (my parner and I) have middle eastern ancestry. We decided to have the table d'hote since there are so many choices in the... More

First off - a reservation is a must. Drinks - order a marble rye. I ended up having way to many of these Food - do the taste of Zahav. Overall - blown away by the overall experience. The food was just simply amazing. The staff there are incredibly well trained and can help guide you through the menu. It... More

Went to dinner tonight at Zahav- looking forward to it as our daughter has had a couple of good meals here. We were seated at a very nice table and then we were introduced to 'Ben' our server and the tone of the meal was sour from the very first moment. Examples of his lack of customer service skills: 1.... More

Wow, what a fun dining experience! It was very crowded, so make sure you have reservations because we sat at a counter, but it was fun none the less! The hummus is seriously to die for, served warm and buttery, oh so good! My husband and I ordered the duck hearts, which I'm not sure if I would order again... More

Definitely recommend trying Zahav before a movie at the Ritz. Fun atmosphere with an energetic, casual vibe. My favorite dishes of the meal were the salatim -- small plates of different vegetables prepared with fresh, distinctive flavors. Yum!

a plethora of flavors beautifully prepared and served. Be careful or like us you will order more than you can possibly eat.

We were seated in the side room, which turned out to be a stroke of good luck. It is quieter, less crowded and more foreign in feeling. We loved it. And we loved all the variety we experienced by choosing the $44 a person tasting menu. We could not have asked for a better experience. The food was a wonderful... More

If you think Middle Eastern food is just hummus and falafel, you owe it to yourself to try the tasting menu at Zahav. It starts with about half a dozen small plates of salads, and then brings out an assortment of foods you have chosen from the menu. Our waiter was very helpful in a friendly, non-condescending way, letting us... More
