A special experience.....

A former student of mine suggested that we have a meal at this restaurant. We arrived at 5:00 on a Tuesday (their opening time) and we asked for seating for two for dinner -- all of their tables were reserved. We ate at the bar and it was soon three people deep. All of this business indicates... read more

Eaten here many times since it opened. The only problem is that the food is so good, it's hard to get a table still!!! Great food, many vegetarian options too. You will love this place. Just book in advance!

Zahav restaurant located in Philadelphia, the food was delicious fresh, first course the Salatim consisted of six small plates: beets, cabbage, beans, eggplant, grape leaves, and carrots. All were packed with flavor. For the Mezze, was just incredible,By the time main coarses & desserts came we were filled. Once again everything was superb. Wonderful service, and a generally welcoming atmosphere.... More

It is not easy to get a reservation at Zahav, and there is a good reason for that. The food, atmosphere and service are all excellent! The hummus is simply the best I've ever had. The fried cauliflower and the Kafte are delicious. The Tayim tasting menu provided us with great variety and plenty of food, and the Yemenite beef... More

Loved the experience. Great wait staff. Good food. Small plates - very veg friendly. Everything we had was absolutely outstanding, but we agreed that we liked the roasted zucchini, hummus and eggplant skewers best. Very cool urban vibe - large room, view of the kitchen, large windows overlooking city view. For the quality of the food, service, and ambience, not... More

Great restaurant. The hummus and salads are wonderful, as is everything served here. For a very special occasion, reserve the chef's counter, available for one seating every Friday and Saturday night. Reservations become available at noon on the first of the preceding month, by email to the restaurant. This meal is a chef's tasting menu, at least 10 courses, and... More

I had a business dinner at Zahav yesterday and I must say I was impressed. Like many reviewers I thought the hummus was extremely good. Our customer in group strongly recommended the lamb dish and it was very tasty moist and very well-prepared. Love the way it's cooked in pomegranate and molasses for 24 hours! The salad dishes were interesting.... More

Shared a great meal with my family here for a special occasion. Food was creative and good but I don't have to go back for a long time. Had the lamb special and it was tons of food. But each item on the menu is an extra cost. There is no plate that is a complete meal so the price... More

The restaurant was very hard to find. The GPS said we were there, but couldn't see the restaurant. Look for a little grocery store and you'll find the restaurant. Once there we had a fantastic evening. The staff couldn't be better. Very knowledgeable to the ingredients on the menu, courteous, make you feel very special. I was so impressed I... More
