This is a bar, so no minors are allowed. My husband and I had a chance to have lunch here without the family. We heard the mussels at Toby's were the best, but we've definitely had better. I'd pass on them. The sandwiches are cold, so don't expect a hot sandwich, even if it is pastrami. I had the shrimp... More

Good Food in Tavern Atmosphere. I don't think it will get 4 stars for clean, but you forget that when you remember you are in a bar afterall. No children allowed. A number of drafts to choose from and some hokey wines. Great Mussels and some pretty good fried foods. Warning- do not get the prime rib- they microwave it.... More

This is just good, down home tavern fun. Some cold beer, good bar food, and cheer the Seahawks on to victory. Will go back.

Fantastic Burger, Specials and Parrot Red Ale are just a few reasons to visit Toby's anytime one is in the area. Great views, service, and some of the best calamari I have had ANYPLACE are a few more. Try it and see what you can add to this list.

A favorite of locals, Toby's "Tavern" is one of the many Coupeville Tourist Attractions worth going to. Located on Whidbey Island, Toby's serves world renown Penn Cove Mussels as well as a variety of sandwiches and other dishes. Won't disappoint...

The mussels did not disappoint. Loved the banter of the bartender and servers in a low key, very festive, very busy atmosphere. Walk in and feel right at home. No frills but basic, great food!

Toby's is just a local funky bar with a great view of Puget Sound, and nice sandwiches and seafood at extraordinarily low prices. The mussels are really very good, and the beer is cold.

Toby's is funky, laid-back, friendly, and a great place to unwind. The mussels are steamed in wine, onions and garlic and served with toasted sourdough. Great fish and chips, too. We enjoyed our meal and the atmosphere at Toby's!

I've had their fish and chips over the years but I was really disappointed in today's offering. The fish was as dry as cardboard and about as flavorful. Even the chips were over cooked. Perhaps there other food items are better but I'm not going to give them another try.

This is a well-worn tavern overlooking Penn Cove. The atmosphere is local and casual. The food and drinks are OK - just right when you are looking for something informal.
