We visited Whidbey Island with our extended large family. Beware, Toby's is very strict about their no minors allowed policy. The first time we stopped in for lunch, my husband and I had our niece and two nephews with us. One nephew was 19 and didn't expect to imbibe, but they would not allow us seating with anyone under 21.... More

I know it is the 4th of July weekend with lots of out of towner s looking for a good beer (good selection), Penn Cove mussels (great receipt and delicious), Toby burger or the really good fish and chips with homemade cole slaw. Folks were patient and waited quietly looking out at Penn Cove and the platforms where the mussels... More

I really wanted to find a place where I could enjoy a meal and sit at the bar. This was not the place. The waitresses were very rude, the food was disgusting, and it was way overpriced. I actually ended up pretty sick to my stomach after the meal here. Total waste of time and money.

Great food. Waitstaff sometimes short staffed, but very fast moving. Some of the best mussels I had on this trip. Funky atmosphere, great local hangout. Watch the water and sailboats pass through Puget Sound and enjoy!

We had to wait only a few minutes for a table. There were 4 of us. We ordered a pound of steamed mussels and some clam chowder. This is the first time I had ever had steamed mussels. The chowder was superb and the mussels were also. They were very busy but we had great service in spite of that.... More

This was a great place to just hang out for a few hours. We met with locals and the food and service were excellent.

Okay, there ere many reviews for Toby's so I will just add to the "satisfied customer's" reviews. We went here around 7PM on a Friday night. Packed! Standing room only. We (two couples) ordered some drinks and tried to stay out of the way. There is a bar with about 8-10 seats, and about 10 booths for dinner. It is... More

We went for a late lunch to Toby's in Coupeville, WA. A very nice setting with a great reputation for quality pub food. We were quickly seated, and offered beverages. We ordered an appetizer of calamari which arrived at our table pretty quickly. The calamari with garlicky aoli was excellent, and we enjoyed it over the next 30 minutes or... More

Toby's is a local bar/ restaurant on the water. We have gone in the past and had good meals. Our meal last night consisted of tough, stringy pre-frozen fish that was fried in burned oil. The meal was one of the worst we could remember. The mussels were cooked in a broth that had virtually no cream and seemed to... More

Much as it looks like a dive bar, the food is pretty good. The staff was incredible and extremely friendly. It was PACKED! Seems there are not so many places to eat in Coupeville. Don't know about anything liquor related, but the food was (very) surprisingly good. I even went back the next day for the same thing!
