Eating at the Tyee really hit the spot after our bicycle and geo-caching ride on the Kettles Trail and and the Rhododendron Trail. The place provides a welcoming atmosphere, the food is good, the amounts served is good value, and my husband has neat memories of the original owner of the restaurant and motel.

Arriving late (8pm), we were advised to sit in the bar because the dining room was closing soon. We sat in the bar, a warm, very friendly place with local folks. We ordered the Fish & Chips. Yum! Very fresh and deliciously battered. The waitress was very attentive and friendly. Yes, we would go back. Good food and a touch... More

Stayed for 6 nights at the motel and it was very clean! Walls are thin and was able to hear noises from other rooms but it was a cheap motel so not surprising and nothing that kept us awake at night. They did have satellite TV, beds were comfortable. I did have my infant with me, cribs are not provided... More

Wish we had done some research and headed downtown but ended up here instead for lunch. The wait staff - there were at least four of them for four tables, was slow and clearly pegged us as "outsiders". The food was okay but not a $50 lunch for three people okay. Down to the waterfront next time.

This restaurant was recommended to us as a great local place to eat. We were told it was inexpensive, but turned out to be the most expensive place we ate at any island, Whidbey or the San Juans. The waitress was rude and acted as though she really couldn't care less about us. She was friendly to the locals, though.... More

Had breakfast there. Very good and plenty of it at a good price. It is in Coupeville. Parking is a bit limited in front but plenty on the side where the motel it.

This restaurant has been here since forever I think. Food is fine. The bar has the same people all the time and if you're looking for a younger crowd this isn't the place to be

Known locally for the fresh caught fish and chips, the fish is absolutely delicious. The beer batter us light and crispy and the portions very generous. The fries are good, crispy and golden brown. The coleslaw is basic, not my favorite thing so I'm not a good judge. Atmosphere is casual and country with country music playing. Service is fast... More

This restaurant is off our list. We've visited Coupeville regularly for nearly 20 years to see friends and fish. We've stayed at the motel when we had a pet with us, so ate there quite a bit. We were recently in Coupville for a week and planned on eating at the Tyee a few times, we figured some breakfasts and... More

We went here for breakfast with a large group. The food was good and the service was good. Nothing spectacular but worth a visit. We had a hard time finding a good breakfast spot in the area so this was a good find as it was the only place for a good old fashioned breakfast in town. I would go... More
