Love this place (we live nearby)--great food and service. Cafe/diner type setting. Fairly reasonable prices (virtually everything is kind of pricey in the area). Conveniently located (south end of town).

I thought it was just regular diner food, until I had the Eggs Benedict. I have never had any better Eggs Benedict in my life. I am very well traveled, eaten at some pretty high end restaurants in my lifetime. Trust me on this. They have all the regular items, but some specialty as well. The Cheese steak omelette rivals... I've eaten there 4 times and consistently have had hearty, flavorful, food. The service has been good albeit a bit slow sometimes on coffee refills. The building is old but charming. The prices are standard. It has a nice local flavor. I keep returning because it has been satisfying on every occasion.

I love the good old fashion salsd bar which the Tyee has. The fish and chips are always a good choice!

This place is often the only place open in town later at night (everything else seems to close by 10 pm). You shouldn't go there hungry, however, as there is minimal food and of low quality (e.g., microwave popcorn is one of few things on the menu). The drinks we had were good, though, and the prices very fair. There's... More

Eating at the Tyee really hit the spot after our bicycle and geo-caching ride on the Kettles Trail and and the Rhododendron Trail. The place provides a welcoming atmosphere, the food is good, the amounts served is good value, and my husband has neat memories of the original owner of the restaurant and motel.

Arriving late (8pm), we were advised to sit in the bar because the dining room was closing soon. We sat in the bar, a warm, very friendly place with local folks. We ordered the Fish & Chips. Yum! Very fresh and deliciously battered. The waitress was very attentive and friendly. Yes, we would go back. Good food and a touch... More

Stayed for 6 nights at the motel and it was very clean! Walls are thin and was able to hear noises from other rooms but it was a cheap motel so not surprising and nothing that kept us awake at night. They did have satellite TV, beds were comfortable. I did have my infant with me, cribs are not provided... More

Wish we had done some research and headed downtown but ended up here instead for lunch. The wait staff - there were at least four of them for four tables, was slow and clearly pegged us as "outsiders". The food was okay but not a $50 lunch for three people okay. Down to the waterfront next time.
