Spent our anniversary with the fine staff and dining experience at the Oystercatcher this past weekend. The food was over the top, atmosphere with our outdoor deck table, view of the beautiful Penn Cove and the wonderful staff made for a delicious and memorable experience in every way. Their farm-to-table mantra is very much appreciated and the local fresh ingredients... More

Our family of 4 came to Whidbey Island just for the day, enjoying a beautiful Sunday in the sun. We found the Oystercatcher out of pure luck, and had the best lunch ever ! What a surprise, didn't expect this amazing food tasting!!! I grew up in France, I'm a baker myself, and trust me, I know good food when... More

Because local ingredients are used here this was the main determining factor to have lunch here with friends on a sunny day. This is a sweet little place with some work to do. The service while friendly and knowledgeable was very slow. Although somewhat busy but not full we had trouble getting our server's attention. The three of us ordered... More

We enjoyed an amazing dinner last night at Oystercatcher. Everything we ate was locally sourced or made in the kitchen from the fresh focaccia to the salted caramel ice cream. The food matched or bested far more expensive meals we have had at top-rated restaurants in Seattle. The service was friendly and knowledgeable and because we had an early reservation... More

We dined here on our first night ( Sunday ) in Coupville because they're closed on Monday and Tuesday. My wife had the rabbit and I ordered the Halibut but they ran out of that so I ended up with marbled salmon prepared the same way as the halibut. Both entrees were delicious. Can't recall what we had for dessert... More

Booked a table as restaurant has been recommended by guests at our B&B. Ate here on our last night in Coupeville on Whidbey Islands WA. Not only the best meal we had on the Island, but one of the best meals we've ever had. Open plan kitchen gave interesting insight into kitchen. Staff friendly and accommodated slight change to one... We enjoyed this place. There are 6 tables outside and probably 10 to 12 inside. It is small and intimate. The service was good if not as prompt as we would like, The select of wines limited but very nice from $9 to $15. The lunch menu was similar to the dinner one but larger sizes. My wife had a... More

The Oystercatcher is a great restaurant operated by an enthusiastic young couple. They are only open a few nights each week but are off to a great start. Food was terrific and straightforward. It was our best dining while in the Puget Sound area.

Tonight we took a party of 7 to the Oystercatcher to celebrate a recent engagement. What a wonderful evening, great food & wine with our favorite friends and their family. The comfortable and causal atmosphere, with great service made for a special evening. My wife and I look forward to returning soon to celebrate another great day on Whidbey Island.

You are greeted by a very friendly and professional lady and seated where you would like. Open kitchen in the middle of the restaurant, nothing to hide. All fresh and local ingredients, I had an oyster sandwich and my wife the mussels and both were great. Nice location a block off the busy tourist street with a nice view of... More
