The Oystercatcher is a great restaurant operated by an enthusiastic young couple. They are only open a few nights each week but are off to a great start. Food was terrific and straightforward. It was our best dining while in the Puget Sound area.

Tonight we took a party of 7 to the Oystercatcher to celebrate a recent engagement. What a wonderful evening, great food & wine with our favorite friends and their family. The comfortable and causal atmosphere, with great service made for a special evening. My wife and I look forward to returning soon to celebrate another great day on Whidbey Island.

You are greeted by a very friendly and professional lady and seated where you would like. Open kitchen in the middle of the restaurant, nothing to hide. All fresh and local ingredients, I had an oyster sandwich and my wife the mussels and both were great. Nice location a block off the busy tourist street with a nice view of... More

Wife and I have been coming to Coupeville for many years to celebrate our wedding anniversary. This was the first and last we will eat at the OysterCatcher. Darling wife was told the mussel order was about one lb when she asked how many mussels were included. You would be lucky if there was 1/2 lb. We know because she... More

we stopped her for lunch during a " clipper whale watching lay over" We had limited time, and the staff made sure we got our food quickly. Food was inventive ( I had a nice asparagus salad), service good, location charming. definitely worth a visit.

The Oystercatcher appears to be an "everyday" routine coastal restaurant . . . until you get inside, where it becomes apparent that you are in a very fine restaurant indeed, though warm and welcoming. My meal, both food and service, was outstanding in every respect. Not "really good for Coupeville" -- just truly outstanding regardless of location. I had the... More

We had the best meal of the year for us so far. It was almost incomprehensibly delicious and exquisitely prepared. We were there celebrating the sale of our condo (yay!) and it did not disappoint. Our eyes were rolling back in our heads it was so good. Would recommend to anyone. Not cheap so not for every day - but... More

This is a Coupeville gem! The attentive and insightful service was superior. This is a real classy rural restaurant. Located in the village of the delightful village of seaside Coupeville, it is an intimate facility with a quality menu. The food was remarkably good. The wine choices excellent. Don't miss this one in Coupeville. The prices are in the upper... More

Copy/paste from my Yelp review: We came here on our anniversary trip to Whidbey island since our B&B was right around the corner and it was perfect! The restaurant was mostly full when we arrived, but we got a table without a problem at all. We got help with wine recommendations and really enjoyed the WA Grenache that was recommended.... More
