Dinner with friends

We went for dinner and we were surprised by the quality of food. This is a must stop for a great place to eat. The price is a little high but it is worth it. Start with the calamari and mussels. The menu varies but the rabbit, salmon and cassoulet were incredible. $15 corkage.

This restaurant is superb. It has a fabulous location, a lovely view and delicious food. The wait staff is stellar and they aim to please. Prior to getting our appetizers we were given a complimentary taste. An example of the special service at Oystercatcher is that I wasn't able to eat one of the ingredients in this complimentary taste. I... More

Ate here twice in six days because the food was just that good, we simply could not wait until our next visit. Everything was so fresh and made from scratch, including the bread. Cute restaurant with a nice view and very friendly staff. Cool open kitchen style, so you can see the staff preparing in a clean environment. The food... More

If you want to sit and drink a nice glass of wine and enjoy some of the best Oysters in the NW then this is your place! Great homemade cocktail sauce to accompany the oysters. Forget the crackers go directly to the warm homemade bread! Finish it off with a nice simple lemon sorbet and call it good!

Went back to the Oystercatcher after a couple of years' absence. It was always good, but now it's simply superb. Fabulous and creative food, excellent service and ambience. We'll try to get there more often. We loved their little trio of appetiser spreads served with their home-baked bread. The main courses we had were delicious. Great views.

expensive but great food and super service. Owner is delightful - even willing to share a recipe. The beignets are outrageously good dessert. Some tables have view - but most of them don't

We stay on Whidbey Island frequently, and had never eaten at the Oyster Catcher. Last weekend we had dinner there and I don't think I will dine any where else when in the area. It was fantastic. The food was beyond excellent, the service was personable and efficient. The chief works with food allergies and still manages not to loose... More

Sarah and Tyler are the newest version (3.0) of The Oystercatcher and they do not disappoint with their version and take of the classic menu while imparting their personalities. We popped in for a little bite to eat on the deck and ended up staying for a complete meal. It all started with a fabulous white wine, third of the... More

I loves this place. Owned by a young and professional couple that pays attention to what you eat, drink and prefer. Discovered this place one night when they were having a private party and we couldn't get in, the next night the owner recognized us in her greeting, The second night we were told we had already had ordered and... Vegetarian, Gluten Free to Meat Eaters and the molasses oat bread. We wanted a special meal for our well traveled East Coast family who have a selection of "great food" almost 24/7. "This was a restaurant/meal to come back too" were the comments. Beet salad/Blue cheese/ pan fried oysters, scallops with baby morel mushrooms and herb broth each selection was... More
